Has anyone with lowering springs put these on after the fact? Meaning, did you have springs already installed and then replaced just these mounts? If so, did it sit higher than before?

Why it would sit higher? It would not! Is for the shock. Not the spring.

That's what is messing me up in my brain. I don't get it. So here is the story. I brought my car to an Indy shop and had them install Koni yellows and Eibach sport springs. I ordered the Monroe mounts and they said one wasn't in the boxes. Either way, I he said he installed one new mount and one old mount. The side that has the old mount is sitting way lower than the one with the new mount. And also the fronts are sitting just as high as stock M sport if not higher. It has been one full day and it hasn't "settled". Springs were bought used from a forum member so it's not like they are brand new and stiff. My 07 e90 has the same springs. Sat WAY lower. My buddy drives it now and it's a major difference. So I don't know. I replaced front mounts as well but that shouldn't make a difference either.

Passenger side always sit lower and probably now is just more apparent. Either that or you need to find better mechanic. Rear shock mounts will not dictate ride height. Spring and springs pads do that. Additionally, you got those used so the possible reasons from wrong parts to deffective parts are to be factored in.

I guess parts could be defective. I doubt springs are but I can't weight that out. I cross referenced all part numbers and they are the same exact springs and part numbers I installed on my 07 e90. I'm thinking there was an issue with install after doing some research. All 4 were installed while the car was in the air. I'm reading people with similar issues saying to preload the suspension before bolts are tightened or this may happen. I'm not 100% sure what that means but it sounds like the car should be resting on the ground before bolts tightened. But I'm not sure which bolts. I'm going to take it back to the mechanic. Is preloading something that must be done or did I read that all wrong?

You got it right. If not tightened while preloaded, parts of the suspension will bind in the full droop position and cause additional spring rate.

If the car in the air, a jack stand (Think transmission stand) can be used to preload the wheel. Basically, jack the wheel up until the weight of the car is being supported by the wheel and not lift. Ie - as soon as you see the car slightly lift off the lift in that corner.

Finally...
The rubber seems to be as firm as the upper Monroe mount and firmer that the Lemforders.
I will update once I install them this Saturday.

So I got these with my new shocks. They seem just as hard as the stock ones I took off. Also, I managed to break loose one of the nuts from the rubber. I put a socket on top when torquing them down, but seemed off still. My stock ones had 85k miles on them and looked the same as the new ones. I might switch that one back to stock sometime.

They are definitely harder when I try to squish them by hand. I'm at 75k with yellow Koni for over 15k now. Depends on climate and how hard the stock set had to work over the years I guess. But for the money these Monroe's are a great deal.

I found these by accident while at the local Napa store for $10 a piece. The Monroe 907984 appear to be a solid "rubber" material, unlike the soft OE foam most shock mounts are made of; and even tho they say they only fit non-sport suspension, they fit the m-sport suspension in my E93 just like the OEM mounts are have the same dimensions.
This mod helped get rid of the bouncy, under damped feeling from the rear suspension. While doing the install, I discovered how poor the aftermarket suspension install job was. The left rear top mount was missing the shock shaft bushing so the shock was free to move laterally in the soft bushing. With the dampers firmly mounted, the wobbly feel from the rear is all but gone. Upgraded sub-frame bushings or inserts are next. Thanks OP for the fantastic find.

If ST are compatible with the stock shock mounts then yes.

What's the black washer thing for? I don't see anything like that in the stock setup - unless this is supposed to be the Monroe version of that silver bump stop support piece.

Interesting - seems like an odd kit overall for something advertised as direct OE fit. Also strange it doesn't appear to cover my vehicle in the fitment guide, though it looks the same as the OE mounts I just took out of my 2008 328xi.
