WHY do people think that is the answer? It's not the answer. It's a political sideshow.

If the US really wants to help, they should along with the international community figure out how the help the maximum amount of people in the short term and then deal with the root of the issue. Pressure the Middle East to do something about it. Shame them publicly. Get the media to help. Create a safe zone. Give other Middle Eastern countries incentive to help resolve the situation by burdening them with the outflow of refugees.

Help the most people where they are at right now.
There is a safe zone. So the international community can check that off their list. It's called Jordan. Unfortunately, not many people are paying attention to it as it doesn't bring the flashy head lines in the media. The numbers being bantered around pales to how many Syrians Jordan has already given safe refuge...650,000+. If the international community really wants to help, every country pledging to bring in refugees should take that money to help Jordan out as that country is suffering from the financial burden of dealing with this population explosion.

100% agree. Redirect funds to Jordan. Praise Jordan. Shame the others. It's not like these Muslim countries are poor.

And Lebanon there are more 1.5 million Syrians living and working there. Lebanon was also bombed a day before Paris attacks. ISIS are just a tool for greater purposes.. Don't let the media fool you. Since when ignorant people can manage to plan and execute a full scale attack on Paris without getting all the help needed from capable countries. Also, countries accepting a certain count of refugees is just a media stunt. Everything being circulated on media is calculated for something under the table. ISIS bought bagdad, not fought for it. That's a lot of money power for a couple of thousand radicals.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I double checked my source which is the United Nations and the actual figure as 750,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan with another 58,000 Iraqi refugees. I didn't know that 1.5 million Syrians were in Lebanon until you mentioned it and the UN backs up that figure.
