Check this out off of the WW site:

NEW YORK, NY U.S.A. 07/06/2008 07/06/2008
BALTIMORE, MD U.S.A. 09/06/2008 10/06/2008
BALTIMORE, MD U.S.A. 10/06/2008 12/06/2008
CHARLESTON,SC U.S.A. 14/06/2008 15/06/2008
BRUNSWICK, GA U.S.A. 16/06/2008 16/06/2008

Baltimore is now listed 2x and now appears as both a 2 day stop and a 3 day stop. I am interpreting this as an earlier delivery into Baltimore. But per the usual - my interpretation is based on the fact I can't stand the wait any longer!!

I also had trouble sleeping, mostly cause Les didnt leave a goodnight note... but also cause my CA didnt call me back. I read, in the 1 series forum that some Elektra passengers took delivery in NJ within 4-5 days of the boat arriving, so I'm getting excited.

800 number says my vehicle is now "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel." whatever that means.

Bmw noob- let me know if you get a hold of your CA. Good morning to everyone else.

I must admit - every time i see Eddie having left a post, I'm excited that it's the "one".

I sent a note to my CA asking about the lead time from Port to Miami. If he gets back to me today, I'll let you know and that should give you an idea of the MAX you should have to wait.
Eddie - I'm very excited for you as I feel you are moments away from getting a call back from your CA. No, not telling you how long you have to wait but rather, the long awaited "Come Get Your BEAMER" call. Perhaps your CA had a day off, or more likely, he just wanted to wait until today or tomorrow to call and say get your ASS over here now.

At the Port awaiting a shipping vessel? That doesn't make sense obviously.

Are you taking a day off when you get that infamous phone call?

My goodness boys, do I have to sing you a lullabye or what? I am very excited for you both, but I find it more comforting hanging around the Maerck Welkin thread. I seem to remember my mom saying "Misery loves company" or something to that effect...

Sorry, not on top of my game this morning, not enough coffee. I will keep an eye on you two this morning for the "My guy called and wants me to come pick up the car" post. Hope it comes swiftly.

Have fun today boys and good luck
Les

Grave-

I'm absolutely taking THAT day off. Even if I have a court appearance scheduled. I'm being suprisingly patient..just want to take delivery before I go to the shore on Saturday. I already told my wife that if it comes in while we are at the shore, I'm leaving to pick it up (only about 2.5 hours away).

Why has the Independence not checked in with coordinates in a few days?

Not sure. I imagine it was doing it while it was offshore as more of a safety precaution. If it were to go down out there, it becomes a lot easier to find it if it knows last check in point, etc. (knock-on-wood). Now we are limited to the check-in status on the WW website. I guess we can somewhat follow where it would be based on the check in dates so we just gotta follow it from there. The fun of tracking seems over.

Its Tuesday - Its been at the Port (min) since Saturday. I can't imagine it NOT being there after Friday. At this point, I've got no problem being patient. Its very close and its just a matter of a 10 days before it gets here. The pain of the wait has somewhat subsided and what is left is becoming more and more tolerable.

Haven't figured out what I'm going to do yet. I need to talk to a tint place so that I can schedule to get it in and out pretty easily. There is a row of shops somewhat near me so I may try and get them to do a few things - just pass the car down the row so that I get the stuff I want done to the car out of the way - Aero Lip & Tints specifically.

I think your crew needs that time for hair and makeup!

P.S. I'll bet not one of the lot of them know how to drive a manual! YIKES!

Just got a call from my CA. My car is through vpc and is being released to a carrier. He said they should get it tomorrow. He is of course off on Thursday, so hopefully a Friday delivery! He said they take a half a day to pdi and then a whole other day to detail so it might not have been ready for Thursday anyway. This will be a long next two days, but I'm damn close.

Eddie that's awesome news...Sounds like the VPC process was just a couple of days on a priority 1. Don't forget about us when it is time to send pictures.

Now if I could just figure out the multi-day Baltimore Delivery Situation! Come on Independence - SC and GA await.

My Dealer said about 7 days from Port to Miami. So as of now, I'm looking at 2 weeks.

Let's face facts...the silence is because the Independence II is simply not as fun without me on board anymore. Seriously though, the end is near..you guys should all be less than 2 weeks from riding in style. Hang in there. This thread has been a lot of fun and has certainly helped pass the time.

My CA said he would call me today to confirm that the car has arrived safely and that everything will be ready for Friday...no word yet. Hopefully I can get some pictures up before I leave for the shore on saturday.

Definitely something missing. . . . its been great Mr. Vedder. . .

If you don't get a chance to take some photos - don't worry - enjoy that little baby and that fantastic ride to the shore. . . . .maybe blow through the break-in period in one weekend. . . .

you taking Friday off?

Poor Grave, are you the only one here? I't kinda like everyone else went on a great vacation and left you to watch the cats!

Well it won't be much longer, will it? I must apologize, I havn't visited because I have been watching the Panama Canal for the past two days. As if that slow-as-molasses ship couldn't make it through without my guidance (Duh)!

If you want to feel better, go visit our thread, we still have about 10 days before we start dispersing.

Have a good day Grave. One more day closer to getting your new baby!

Leslie
