They only appear when they are moving or have moved within the last hour....so when they dock they fall off the map......that is unless you want to pay for a subscription to the site.

Congrats in advance to those who will be taking delivery soon from the Jupiter and the Cassiopeia.
It was mentioned earlier that this thread be closed by those of you on those ships once you picked up your babies...but I'm not quite ready for that! Didn't the first post on this thread mention the RYUJIN? For those of us who still have a few weeks more to wait, I'd like to keep this one going. As of this point, the Ryujin should still be in the middle of the Atlantic, on its way to the Canal. Judging by the estimated arrival date at Pt. Hueneme (5/29), the Ryujin should reach the Canal by the 18th or the 19th. Anybody know for sure? I've only gotten one response saying they were with me on the Ryujin. ANYONE ELSE?

To JMEEZE:
I started this thread for the Cassiopeia and Jupiter folks because they were leaving so close in time. I suggested we end it on delivery of our cars because it's really become a very large thread and I think it's gets kind of hard for new readers to navigate. And, it can't be THAT interesting to people not on these ships. If you email me directly (send me a Private Message), I'll give you the telephone number of the lady here in Los Angeles at NYK who I have been speaking with to get the arrival dates. I don't want to post the number because it's not fair to NYK to have forty calls a day asking the same question. That's why I've called and posted the info here so that everyone can get it in one place and we won't wear out our welcome with NYK. So, if you message me, with the number, you can call NYK, get the expected arrival date at the Canal, the slot it has to transit the Canal and the estimated arrival date at Port Hueneme and post it all here for all to see about the Ryujin. You might even want to start a new thread called INFO ON RYUJIN COMING TO CALIFORNIA. Looking forward to your email. Larry |

By the way, it takes about 9 days from Canal to Port Hueneme, so I'd start looking at AIS for the ship at the canal around the 19th to go through on the 20th. (Give or take a day or so).

I just went on the AIS satellite system and noticed that the Jupiter Diamond is far off shore and barely moving.
I just talked to the NYK lady and all the cars are on shore and the Jupiter Diamond left port at 1AM this morning. So, that's it folks.... Let's see some pictures of your cars when you get them. Larry |

So, I can't get hold of my salesperson to see if I made it on the HOJIN. Is there a way to track with my VIN so see what ship I'm on? I heard about something like this.
Thanks.

Just for fun I called the 800 number. Even though my car is sitting in Port Hueneme, it still says it's at the port of exit waiting for a shipping vessel.
So, to all people who have freaked out because they still think their cars are waiting in Germany for a ship -- chances are they are long gone.... Yeh! HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY. And, when you guys get your calls to pick up your cars, let us know here. Larry |

After it gets off the ship and it says "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" isn't necessarily untrue. It's at the port (unloaded off the ship) awaiting a truck to bring it to VPC... if I remember correctly, on the oc website, when the car is leaving VPC and going to your dealer, it also jumps back to "en route"
