It hit me a while back but the other day at the taste test was another stone in the foundation.
Yes, I have the JB3, I am Craig, and I am a JB owner.

I wanted to try the newest Map and see the newest product by Shiv.
I unplugged my JB3 and added the Procede and went for a drive.

The power was the same, the throttle response was a bit better with the procede.
So, I drove back and everybody wanted to know what my thoughts were.
I said that it felt great and that the throttle response seemed to be a bit better. I had no problem saying that because that was really what I felt.
I wish I had more time to test it out but I had to go pick up my daughter.

The question is, "Would I change over to the Procede by paying another 950 to have almost the same amount of power?"

Both tunes are great. It's been proven that both tunes show almost the same amount of power on the strip.
The thing that kills me is all of the talking down and bashing.
It's sad.

The greatest thing that I noticed about the meet is that everybody (that I talked to) was very cool with talking about both tunes.
Everything and everybody was very friendly.
I just really wish that everybody could keep the same coolness while sitting in front of their key boards.

This tuner war, as you call it, started way,way before JB3.

How far back do you want to go ???

Lets try looking back when Terry was actually a forum member here. How many here remember when Terry exposed the map software code by renaming the file for the V1 Procede and went ahead by virtually telling everyone how to install the Haltech reader and Vishnu maps to make a working unit.......if that's not product sabotage, then please you explain it to me !!!
This battle goes back a lot further than you realise..........and maybe some of your comments need to be capped and revised.
Happy reading.

The tuner wars clearly predate modern civilization as we know it. I would chalk it all up to stone-age economics, but there is more to it, as some tuners have avoided getting embroiled in the Brouhaha.

Terry was an active discussant of Vishnu products for a long time before he converted to a manufacturer/vendor. In hindsight, there was a clear turning point at which he seemed to be mining the list for information to make this transition. I think it was somewhat well intentioned, the theme being develop an affordable tune for the masses. But there was a fuzzy line between proprietary information and public goods that got crossed somewhere, and that started the primaries off on the wrong foot. The minions that have taken up the cudgels have certainly stimulated a ton of activity on E90post.

Optimist that I am, I keep thinking that there will come a time of peace and objectivity.
