Jackson & PICUS - the car looks stunning!! CONGRATS!! And if I lived in TO I'd be a GTA In Detail customer for sure. I'm happy as heck knowing my two UNDINE buddies got their cars before Xmas as well... On a side note, we just had freezing rain on Friday afternoon in Ottawa and the car had no problems and didn't feel any slippage. Although I think the city of Ottawa is pretty prepared and usually puts alot of salt out ahead of time so that probably helped. PICUS we need pics...

I'm doing the sidemarker delete, alum pedals and de-badge as soon as I get the painted sidemarker, then that's it till spring! Herc - the wait will be forgotten soon, trust me. I was manic yesterday, and today it's all bliss. |

VERY NICE!!!
And it looks like you got the Full Monty too Just watch it for the 1st 2000 - it is very tempting just to let her rip. I've already had a few other drivers wanting to "have a go" - but I'm restraining myself - for a bit a least.

ANOTHER BEAST!!! This is becoming www.335post.com (no, it doesn't exist) Well done guys. Jackson, Picus, PiperD, see you on the 401 :rocks: sshahnavaz, perhaps I'll see you on the 416/417 next summer during my annual golf weekend in your neck of the woods. I have a buddy in Kemptville, and we usually play 2 courses in the Ottawa region (favs: Eagle Creek and Loch March, just in case you're into golf). I drive up on a Friday night and leave Sunday afternoon... next summer the drive will be much sweeter H

Thanks folks. I guess we've officially hijacked this thread. I just put a couple hundred k on the car, man it's fun.
I did run into my first minor issue, my passenger side front fender is mis-aligned by about 5mm, it sits a little low. I contemplated loosening the toggle bolt and aligning it myself (which I am sure would fix it), but I will let the dealer take care of it next week. Yes, I am that anal. |

Update on my retarded fender; I fixed it. I got impatient; loosened two nuts, pushed the fender up and in 3.5mm, tightened, good as new. I think one of the nuts was a little loose from the factory, no worries. |

You're tight Picus... the only way I think I can see it in the first photo is by comparing lip to floor in front of each tire. But even then...
And that first pic is the hottest for the e92, with the offset of the car such that visually the front is longer than the side H

Hey this could make for a nice little poll... how long will Picus go unnoticed?
Basically, how long before a cop notices the missing plate, cares enough to pull him over and write him up to plate the car? IMO, 12/23/06 was day one (day of pickup). So if he were busted today, the number would be day 3. I'll go with 172 days to the first nab Anything for the closest guess, Picus? Could be a marketing opportunity for GTA in Detail here H (Yeah, it's Christmas and I'm bored. Waitin' for family to show up for dinner!)

It could be today, I have to drive 345km on QEW/401.
Right now my best guess is probably sometime in the spring. I can say right now that unless the ticket is more than a couple hundred bucks (I think it's $110), I will probably leave the plate off. |

Any tickets boys? I've narrowly averted a couple of tickets. This thing is a cop magnet, sheesh.

Glad they didn't nab you Picus. I should've posted about that one before you went down. I know... thanks
I've also seen a trap westbound on the QEW, at the bridge between the 7th Ave exit and the 406 exit to Thorold (same exit you took). One copper is on the bridge with his radar, and there's a few cruisers under that bridge ready to peel out, since there's an on-ramp there. It's been a couple years since I've seen them on that bridge tho, but I always slow down approaching it, just let the incline in the road slow you. 4 trips to Niagara eh? "Honey, um, I left my pen in TO.... I'll be right back." H

This was really early in the morning of course... the cruiser was one of the new Black Dodge Chargers the Ottawa Police picked up a few months ago... I need to learn to control my speed or get a detector or something..
