$60 is the cash price for a full 4 wheel alignment (at least for us e9x guys). Had mine done recently by Pat. He did a great job and I'd definitely go back.

jus called
Just called them right now for an alignment.
Impressed already and haven't even gone. he said we might be having bad weather tomorrow so he will not do an alignment since they cannot test drive the car properly. First alignment place that actually care about performing a proper alignment. |

Did Altech load weights in the car for the alignment as spec'd by BMW?
Does anyone actually do that? Also, what can the tech learn by driving the car before the adjustment that the machine won't detect?

Didn't load weights when doing mine, not sure how much of an impact that really has, especially if you're on coils. However, driving the car gives two things, a sense of pulling or other related issues and to see how centered the steering wheel is.

Out of curiosity, has anyone with active steering had their car aligned here?
If so, what do they do to prevent active steering codes being triggered? EDIT: I clarified with Pat. Yes, they can do alignment on cars with active steering. He does have the ability to re-calibrate the steering sensor if need be. Typically, a steering angle sensor code is only thrown if the alignment was changed significantly or if the car had a major overhaul (ie. dropped on coils). Either way, he's got you covered. Those alignment results I posted above are actually with M3 tension rods, M3 wishbone links, and MR adjustable rear toe arms. What you want to tell him is to maximize your front camber settings. You should be still be using 335i toe specs, mine were at nominal but you could request minimum toe out.
