I did had the misfires at cyl 6. No m3 strutbrace, I do have the Afe intake which lifts the hood a very tiny bit..(you see a print in the hood isolation)
ECU replacement finally solved the rough cold idle.... I hope they sort it out!

my car just starting having missfires at WOT and i came across this thread while doing some research on the matter. i have to say i am now very scared this might be a serious problem, i have a few questions though, is this a problem that my JB3 or DCI could have cuased? would removing it solve the problem, if not and i remove the mods and tuner codes before bringing it in will the dealership still see the problem and attept to fix it. For all the United states drivers did you tell the delaership you were running mods if you had them? Also i am getting the concesus that the only thing that really fixed the problems was replacing the DHE, is that true?

I have been having this problem for some time and every time I bring it up with the S/A I was told the uneven idle is normal......normal my ass.
07 6MT with Dinan and MSD80. Along with the idle have been having Ultra Limp Mode(power not reduced, power goes completely, Idle bouncing up and down 500rpm-1500rpm on its own, pressing gas pedal does nothing, have to coast across 5 lanes of traffic to shoulder). BMW has no explanation other than it is the tune doing it. Variety of codes out the yin yang(30f0, 30f1, 30f2, 30ff, 2a17, 2fbf, 2d1d, 2ab4) Have h ad injectors and turbos and wastgates replaced. Have been thinking it is the DME for some time now but hard to convice anyone of this. They tell me that if the DME was bad then the car would not run or it woud show it in codes. (How can a faulty part diagnose itself correctly?) I realize this thread is old but for those who have had the problem, have you found your solution?
