I went off road with my 335 2 days after taking delivery. I drove up to maroondah dam with my gf via the back roads (narrow, hilly and plenty of curves- I was in heaven). Perfect for new cars because you don't need to redline it to have fun. I wish I'd taken photos- the car was covered with that fine country road dust, totally covered!

If you were wearing denim overalls (or even better- a pair of daisy dukes ) and had some straw hanging out of your mouth you might. A Double Bay Hillbilly!

Heheh cool.

Have you thought about BMW centre caps for the rims? The wheels definantly finish that car off.

hmmmm.......very very nice.

Just got a quote for BBS CH rims from the Australian distributor - $945 each for 19" to suit the 335 coupe. Ouch! Assuming decent rubber would be at least $500 per corner that equals a tidy sum. I have not ordered the 335 yet but will probably go with the 230 optional OEM rims for $1400 extra.

Does anybody know if the OEM RF tyres would fit the BBS CH rims straight away assuming they are the same size as the 230's. I would assume so. and now that I read what I just wrote it is a stupid question....

Dubois - how wide are your rims?

i have 8.5 all round with 235/35/19... so providing your rims were an 8.5 wide (i think that is the narrowest they come, according to my bbs 06 katalog anyway..)

the 8.5 on the front would be fine for an e90/2 as that is the standard isn't it? but i am thinking that a 9.5 on the back would be better... (9.5 on the rear is standard isn't it? with a 255 wide tyre?)

main question is, what size are your tyres? cos obviously that depends what rims you should get, if you want to keep your original tyres... any tyre shop would be able to help you if you can't understand my ramblings... and if it has anything to do with bbs rims, i am sure amg australia can help you!

if $945 is what you got quoted by the "australian distributor" (amg at rushcutters bay? they are the aussie distributor by the way...) then you need to shop around! i got a much better price then that...

Great pics Astra. So, is that what you have to resort to now- washing your car in a deep, deserted underground bunker? I like the close ups of your wheels for some reason I like the "dish" section in the centre of the wheel. Very nice.
