And thanks Derelict, but I'm looking for summer only rubber.
Unless you track your car, do you really need summer only over high performance all-season? Not in my opinion. You won't notice the difference. Just sayin.

Definitely, as soon as the weather gets nicer. My car is so disgustingly dirty right now, pretty much ashamed to drive it. Had this conversation with a buddy recently:

Him: Dude, why is your car so dirty! You usually keep it spotless.
Me: It's been cold and I haven't had time to wash it recently. I don't bring it to the car wash since that does a number on the paint, which I would then need to fix.
Him: So you let your car get this dirty because you care too much about your paint?
Me: Ye.. yes. Correct.

It's going in for service next Tuesday, so I'll need to at least take it to the touchless before dropping it off. Omitting the dealer hack-job of a wash (as always) obviously.

Dude, that is my exact reasoning. As long as your winter prep is sufficient, washing during the winter is really unnecessary and will most likely induce excessive marring. Even hand washing will most likely swirl the paint more since we all pretty much use hose water, which is really cold during winter as opposed to warm, suddy, dirt-lifting water.

But once in a while, the detail addict inside convinces you to wash your car in 30 degree weather and having the suds freeze before you have a chance to rinse it off)

Exhibit A (notice the ice rink on my driveway) :

Exactly. I didn't get into it with my buddy, but that's my logic too. My car looks like hell, but I know for a fact that the paint will look excellent once it's washed properly.

And washing in 30 degrees is hardcore! I'm obsessive when it comes to detailing, but I couldn't deal with skating around my car in the cold. I'd be on my ass in no time. Good thing you have xDrive, else you might have one clean (but stuck) car.

I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow. The winter protection I layered on in November is still holding strong (nice tight beading with the recent rain we had) but it's covered in dirt/grime.

JK they look nice and clean to me. I shouldn't be buying them, but I want them bad enough that I've gone into frantic seller mode. If I can sell some of my civic parts/laptops then hopefully they are still for sale. I'm even putting off tint to get those if I can.

I've driven both, and yes, there is a pretty obvious difference if you're not running budget rubber.

Ditto on the cold weather paint saving dirtiness. The touch free does a good enough job to keep me out of embarrassment territory, but I'm dying for a warm enough weekend to get my spring wax on.

Snapped a couple pics of my car in the driveway this morning. I've been driving the company car recently, but I think the E90 managed to get even dirtier since last driven about a week ago:

Winter protection is still holding up though, nice tight beading when wet. Pretty good gloss for something covered in dirt too. Going to wash it this weekend. Regardless of temperature.

Car is now clean, I am now cold. Temps in the 40s are tolerable but the wind is brutal. Hot shower time..

I purchased their Groupon a month or two back. I'm paying a little extra to do a Stage 2 interior and exterior detail. Never worked with them before but many on YuppieRacing have and have been pleased.

Sigh, ordered Bilstein Sport shocks from Turner and they're back ordered for 2 weeks. Must fight the urge to buy KW coils...
