does anyone even know these Trendix people in person? I wouldnt be surprised if these "names" dont even exist. and a BIG group buy on a product that takes a lot of TIME would be a perfect "smash and grab" way to go out. Again, I hope you all do not lose money, but its a great way to stall by telling people exactly what they want to hear.
I have seen things go bad like this on many forums that do not scrutinize their "sponsors" in depth. If something doesnt feel right, go with your gut and bail while you can. |

This is my account, but I am sure I speak for the rest in the Splitters GB
-Put my name down for GB for painted splitters on 11/21/2006 -Payment through Paypal for $215 on 12/01/2006 (Trendix promised 6-8 weeks delivery after payment) -First big update to group was on 02/09/2007 - "The splitters are already in transport to us." By this time Carlos has taken over...apologies for delays expressed. 02/15/2007 - "The splitters have arrived at customs and should be in the paint shop sometime next week. Paint colors have been sent to the paint shop. So whatever you ordered will be the color painted. Carlos" 02/20/2007 - "The shipment is being pick up right now and will be going to the paint shop today! We are looking to try and have them shipped out to you guys by the end of this week." 02/21/2007 - "As a thank you to everyone that has waited so patiently for this GB we will offer Clear bra service for an additional $25. Those interested please PM me!" 02/21/2007 - Paypal'd Trendix another $25 for clearbra. A few others anted up their additional $25 02/26/2007 - "Looks like we will be shipping some out this week!" And that's it, save for that "cut n paste" post yesterday. Today is 03/07/2007 None of us have received any indication of shipping etc.

I just opened a dispute. If you're busy on the orders Carlos, then all will be well, but int he mean time I have to protect myself. I will, hoever, escalate to a claim if this isn't resolved soon.

Okay, here's my order info:
On 2-22-07, I PM'd carlos to check to see if he still had the E92 rear deck spoiler in stock. Surprisingly, he quickly responded that he had 2 left and.. "Just give us a call at the shop at 877-Trendix or leave me a number and someone will give you a call." So I gave them a call and placed the order using my Visa (can't remember if they had to call me back, but I don't recall this being any issues upfront). He told me the same story about it would take a couple of weeks to get it to me due to the paint shop requirements. I wasn't concerned at first until I saw the other complaints start to stir about a week later. So I sent a second PM and call to Trendix on Feb. 28th to check the status of my order. Carlos replied a day later with this: "The problems we are having now has to do with UPS and it is being taken cared of. As for your spoiler it has not finished yet from the paint shop. But should be done tomorrow. I will get on it and let you know when I get more info." So far so good, but the complaints on the forums kept ramping up and he basically quit communication. To me it seems every order has a delay excuse, ours with the paintshop, the springs were UPS. Distruths eventually catch up. So I tried another strategy this week, one that he souldn't pass up if he is a true businessman and not a _____. I called and PM'd him on Monday, March 5th and said there appears to be evidence that your company is having some problems. So that you don't have to worry about the extra expense and time of my product in the paint shop, I am willing to take the spoiler immediately as is, paint or no paint. However, if I don't hear from you soon, I will be forced to file a claim with my credit card company. Yesterday, I left similar message on his answering system. Guess what, no response what so ever. Since he didn't jump all over this to make more profit, then I can only assume he wants 100% profit. :mad: But he wont out of my pocket. I can assure you of that ![]()

ive said this over and over, paypal SCREWS PEOPLE OVER NON STOP, happens ALL THE TIME.
Thats why you need to use a CC through PAYPAL, the CC will stomp ALL OVER PAYPAL when they reject you. BUT you are still limited by time. |
