Hi,
I have e90 lci 328i and I am about to get performance front bumper. Is the cold air pack for brakes mandatory? Stock car already brakes well without the cold air pack. I don't see a problem unless the performance bumper is designed in a way that completely blocks the air to the wheel well... but the bumper has two air ducts on each side which lets air in for cooling. Please let me know if i am missing something here. ![]() ![]() Thanks, |

Could one of you Chaps do me a huge favour and measure the width of the duct at the bottom, the height and the width at the top?
I want to see if these ducts could be used for an LCI fog delete. Thanks Guys. |

I doubt the ducts will be usable. But I'll be more than happy to get you some measurements after work today

Thanks Mario. That would be great.
I don't think they would be wide enough on their own however I'm hoping that in conjunction with the stock ducts I may be able to knock something up. |

Sorry for the late reply.. I would recommend ordering some plastic honeycomb from eBay and doing a retrofit. That's what I did to mine!

Performance Aero Sport Wagon
I modified the front bumper with matching black metal grills for the main radiator intake and two side intake ducts. The same metal grill material replaced the OEM non-functional rocker panel intake ducts, converting them into functional intake ducts. I plan to run silicone brake duct hose from the rocker panel intakes to the rear brake rotors. The rear bumper is being modified to replace the plastic diffuser parts on the lower part of the bumper with matching metal grills to redirect and dump air flowing under the car into the rear low-pressure "bubble".
The inspiration for the grills include the BMW Z4 and M3 ALMS and DTM cars. ![]()
