Hey guys,
did anyone of you guys has had problems with uninstalling the cobb from the car..? I had it for a month and install/uninstalled several times without problem until i tried to uninstall yesterday.. the process went to 100% and then got an ecu error.. car is in stock status now but AP is in recovery mode stating car does not have tune so it cannot recover. i do have latest firmware. I've already sent my AP to cobb, but just wondering if anyone of you guys had some problems. |

testing all 3 throttle mappings ... i'm also sold on the standard throttle mapping as well. However, i loved how smooth the v1 throttle mapping was, like buttah

A full day motoring around town and on highway, normal drive and occationally push to the limit, all with V2.02/STD93 map and I'm sold.
For me, the map is my most favorite, smooth and on demand.

Mine did the same. I unplugged, reopen the application and reconnected the AP to my OSX. it never showed the error again and said my AP is up to date. The only difference is my screen was stuck on "checking the AP after the update"

I do...I think there will be a ECU Comm error if it's not checked.

Mine doesn't say that. What happens is, whenever I change maps, it throws a comms error after 100% and goes into recovery mode. Then I can recover it and it works fine after. Sometimes I would have to try multiple times to get out of recovery mode.

That's too bad, erensf. I had the initial ECU Comms error with my 2007 335i as well, but now have no troubles. I updated to the latest firmware and ran the v2.02 Std 93 octane map this morning. I am VERY impressed and pleased. I have no plans to run the alternate V2 or V1 maps as I think the throttle response is terrific as is. Once my Helix FMIC comes in, I know my next purchase: Escort Passport or Valentine 1!

I had an error when trying to switch maps where nothing would happen. It would just get stuck at verifying and loading maps. Talked with Cobb yesterday. I was told to delete all the maps through the AP manager. They said the original maps would still be on the AP the very first time you loaded the firmware onto the AP. So if your having issues with the new maps try deleting all the maps in the AP manager and then try to reload the AP onto your car.

have you guys noticed your oil temps have gone up after installing the Cobb AP? mine is now consistently at about 230-240 engine temp for normal highway driving, it gets up to 250-255 when i push it for 10 mins or so. is this normal? / acceptable? mid point on my gauge is 210 and highest marking is 300

If you have the oil style gauge like I do you probably don't have the oil cooler either but you should really check yourself.

Completely uninstalled AP manager, started all over, now AP says up to date.
I may have disturbed the structure of the files somehow(trackpad on macbook pro might have done it) Now that I've downloaded the new maps, do I drag them into the APMaps folder and then update with search for maps? Thanks |

OK, problem returned with the same error after I clicked on check for beta firmware in Options. 2007 cars should have this checked as far as I know.
So now AP manager went back to not being able to show any files under Manage, AP back to being stuck on "Updating" |
