Where are you getting these numbers?

C63 curb weight is 3900, 335i E90 curb weight is 3605. This doesn't take into account driver weight or any weight reduction that may have been done.

335i at 420whp is 8.58lbs per HP, the C63 is 8.29lbs per hp.

Hotrod's car with 200 lbs weight reduction is at 8.1lbs per hp.

The C63 gearing is very similar to a 6MT N54. The 6AT N54 has much shorter gearing.

I would just like to know what makes the car so fast off the nitrous...
Well you have some weight removed from his car including his wheels. I know his times are out of place but you cant really fight the fact that he has the information to justify his times between Vbox and track runs.

Whatever mods he has and however light his car is it does perform stellar.

I never believe in keyboard racings or magazine racing.

I myself pull on cars on the street that I shouldnt. In the real world and on paper cars perform different.

So I should, in YOUR theory, stay with that white C63 AMG? I am bummed I didn't race it at Willow. lol. In this case, I HIGHLY doubt that the black C63 I raced was stock with a power package like hotrod suggests. And I HIGHLY doubt the race was perfect between the black and white C63 AMG is accurate. There is something missing in this WHOLE equation. I have eaten stock C63s before so I highly doubt that the C63 I raced was stock.

correction:

There are "stock" C63s that are detuned to 451HP crank from the factory, and there are "stock" P31 C63's that put out 518HP crank.

The black one is of the "stock" P31 variety. Don't mind me, all I have to hear about is C63 this and C63 that from my buddy who owns one so I'm sorta well versed in what these things can do.

Again, I don't know your weight, dyno figures, etc

You got to remember all of this in comparison. Besides how far back were you?

Hotrods car is lightened, it's been discussed time and time again in here. Also remember that hot rod claims in his videos that he's at 3550lbs with him in it

Well one of the video says the P31 has Exhaust too!!!!!! hahahahaha. So that is another 10whp I would assume. So I am probably dealing with my 420whp vs. 430whp C63 that weighs a good 400lbs more than me. In retrospec, I probably should have beat that C63 if I didn't suck balls at shifting or had an automatic. I should have taken out my roll bar and passenger seat, lol.

I will be adding my JB+ and 109 at the next track event so we shall see how my car fairs with around 440whp and 470wtrq.

Yeah Mflowt5, the black 2012 c63 had the upgraded performance pack and an aftermarket exhaust from what he told me. On the sign up sheet for shift-s3ctor, he estimated 500HP. I ran him on a 35mph roll and he jumped a car on me instantly so he hit the gas first and that's how we ended the race also.

Hmmmm. Ya, I guess I just need more power. Maybe if I didn't have my rollbar in and my second seat it might make a difference but I don't think THAT much.

But then again I am not a straight line driver

It would actually be awesome to see how your car is performing. It would be great to get some trap speed readings on it. FYI: The guy in the white C63 asked about running some other 335i BMWs. so if you are up to it and want to come down, we can do some measurements on your car, and we could do some friendly runs. You run him, or me, or whatever. And you could fully go over my car with a flashlight, mirrors, etc, LOL. You seem like a car nut, and I would actually trust you to look at my car and verify there is no nitrous in it for my 123-124mph runs. He is from LA, im from Vent County, we are all close enough. I think he is about an hour from me, and so are you? He may be coming down tomrrow night, PM me if interested. The DA is great here at sea level, and you will see what your car can do at one of those sea level tracks.

If you do come, try and use the same exact setup you had at Willow, that way we can have a meaningful comparison. I mean, I'm sure you can set yours up to be faster than mine, but thats not what we are after here. I'm using the same Map#3, 55 additive you see in all my graphs, etc...and you could confirm it on my laptop.
The C63 on the other hand is probably faster now, so he will probably take both of us. I still have to get another video against him to see how much he pulls me. As far as how bad the white one pulled the black one. It was a legit race. They guy even commented about how surprised he was to get pulled so badly by the white car. The white car is no joke. His 123mph traps would be in the top 8 of the C63s listed in drag times.

^^^ I completely agree

I might actually be down for this. I have never "drag'd" my car before so I am sure I would post 13s and loose to a civic, hahahahaha. I also have almost -2 degrees of camber in the rear so my ability to "hook-up" would be shitty. And I don't want to "inspect" your car, but if you show me a simple switch that is on vs off and do a run with and without then that is good enough for me.

What time will you be doing the drag runs? Will there be any runs from a roll? How much do I have to pay? Might just go Friday and stay the night for Speed District the next morning, lol. I live in SB so it is somewhat of a drive, but I will see if I can squeeze it in.

I also would like to offer an invitation for you to dyno your car with me on Wednesday night. I still need to hear back from the guys at Bottle Blown in Camarillo, but I am sure they have time Wednesday night (after 7 or so). They also, as you probably know, have nos refills. You don't have to come and if you don't I won't hate, but it would probably clear the air and be interesting to see the difference in HP and what not.

Agreed! Glad to see people being civilized and glad to to see HR's offer and mflowt5's mature responses.

Hopefully you guys can sort something out and both represent for the n54 enthusiast community.

Locally the amg's are beating up on a lot of n54's and definitely trash talking. We need you guys to record some good runs for us!

If I am still in town (going to the Bay Area for Thanksgiving Holiday) I would definitely like to show up. Just not sure if we are leaving early Weds or in the evening. Not really into it, but I wouldn't even mind doing the dyno. I still think they vbox is sufficient and more real world. If I were going to dyno, I had hoped to do a run on nitrous too, but that would be impossible with the 20:1 lean spikes/misfiring I am having now. It may even be affecting my non-nos traps now...but I still did 123.8 mph the other night...so good enough for comparison purposes. Have you talked to Tommy or Brook to see if they are even open the day before Thanksgiving? Thats great that you know them. Just ask them what are the chances of me having a sneaky pete system. I have always shared with them my runs 129-130+ traps on the bottle and 123-124mph traps off the bottle. (125.x w/open exhaust) Perhaps they can confirm that with you. So I would assume with about 6-7mph faster traps...the car makes about 70-80 HP on nitrous..probably low 500rwhp. And that is exactly what has been proven on other 335i BMWs with nitrous. And the power to weight ratio thing is probably right on. I might have a edge on the C63, but at higher speeds sheer hp has the advantage when aerodynamics come into play. So 420 rwhp makes sense. Again, something that has been duplicated many times before. So there really shouldn't be any mystery at all to my numbers. They are right in line with dyno results people have achieved.

So the C63 owner can't make it out tonight (daughter duties), but if you are out in the area, tonight, or tomorrow PM me, I probably want to get a couple test runs tonight to see what is going on with my AFRs. If we test your car, you can have a pretty good idea of how it is running before you do your dyno.

No, not asking you to drag race your car. Without DRs it wouldn't be fair to ask you to. Remember the AMG was turning mid 12's on street tires. A ESS Supercharged M3 did 13's. But the trap speeds will still be useful as will your 60-130 done on the same run.

Hopefully you guys can sort something out and both represent for the n54 enthusiast community.

Locally the amg's are beating up on a lot of n54's and definitely trash talking. We need you guys to record some good runs for us!
I hear you on those AMGs. To be fair, if they were weight reduced, and tuned for more than 93 octane, they are Crazy fast. I think a guy ran low 10's at over 130mph on 100 octane tune and weight reduction. But still, the tune/header C63s are on average trapping 123-125mph, so a great measuring stick for the strongest running 335i BMWs. (without nitrous, lol).

And yes, people that have met me will tell you I am the most reasonable, helpful, and standup guys. I am not the one to outright instigate things. But if you look at the post history, I was merely reacting to the previous history of taunts/challenges by another member.

Furthermore, I do post good results, and my latest personal best, or record breaking numbers. Be it Vbox, timeslips etc. But on the other hand, most people realize that is probably more of interest to them, rather than me having the slowest car on the forum and constantly posting test results, if that makes sense.

do you have vbox logs for 1/4 sik or mxx5?
I don't know if they do. But if Mflow is down here, we can go test his car with my vbox.

I applaud bragging as long as you can back it up.
