There is no NEW YORK ports to unload cars...I don't know why they say in the logs of the ships New York ports when it actually unloaded and docked in Bayonne New Jersey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not how close your dealer is!!!!! My dealer is about 30 miles away!!!! Its the fact of getting out of the VPC center...Its backed up and will be for a while!!!!! But if you want to have good expectations so be it...I was the same way but got disappointed...I mean 2 more weeks after ship discharged my car is freaking eternity right now to me!!!!!!!!!!11

Agree. No reason for any holdup at the port. They handle 1000 cars a week or more.

Agree - after 13 weeks I will remain optimistic until the 31st. My CA has been up front with me on 2 other cars that were ordered so I am sure that if there was an isusue and a delay he would have called me. My 330cic goes back on lease turn in on the 31st so he knows that if the E93 is not here by then ready for pickup he has to give me a car to use until it is.

Morecowbell i think maybe my holdup could be because i am getting the Oem Aero kits installed with an alarm system...Is anyone also getting some kind of extra installation done to the car? If so then maybe thats why my car is being delayed by an exta week? That what i am assuming, could be wrong....But as far as the CA blowing smoke up my ass i don't think so because I pruchased the car from the same dealership you did!!!

here's the thing... the VPC isn't backed up UNLESS you need something painted. I think the body shop there is backed up by about 5-10 days. It sucks, but my body shop is delayed by at least 2 weeks so port install orders are still welcome.

So why would you need something painted ??? Damage in shipping ??? If they fixed it would it still be coinsidered new ??? I would not be a happy campler if my new, never touched by me, vehicle had body work done and no one told me aout it. If I ever found out .... look out... someone would get a new asshole ...... in a different location !!!

the paint shop is there in the off case that something happens, but more than that it's there to put on aero kits, spoilers etc. they used to only do repairs to blemishes or transit damage but they spent all this money on a state of the art repair/paint center and it wasn't getting used. That's why they started to offer port installs.
the stuff that gets fixed there is rarely anything serious anyway... anything serious would have to be disclosed.

The thought of doing some sort of repair for "transit" damage does not sit well with me. I wonder what limitations they have on these types of repairs ???
Had an issue with an Olds once. The location where they did the repair started to rust after 6 months and it took an act of congress (lemon law situation) to get it satisfactorily resolved. Would hate to have to go through something like that again.
