Dear All,

I received most of the spoilers from the painting factory and I have sent some of them out. (buyer who sent the money first will get the spoiler sooner) I think some of you already receive pm about the tracking
However, I am not satisfied with the painting for the others so I have them repainted. I feel very sorry for the delay but I will try my best to finish the paint job by this weekend. will keep all the buyers updated with that

btw, when you receive the mtech spoiler, it will comes with 3m double adhesives and 1 pu glue. we strongly recommand you use both to make sure the spoiler install well on the trunk, thanks

Is the GB over? If you have a spare TiAg rear deck spoiler I'd like to buy it. If not, I can wait

For memebers in this GB,

feel very sorry for the delay of the shipment. it's kind of embarrasing because I gave you guys my word of shipment date and we didn't make it.
The paint shop we cooperate with is too busy recently. When I received most of the items this morning, I am not satisfied with the quality. I returned them back again.

There are 5 members of you already received your package or will receive them soon. For the rest buyers, I already talked to the paint shop and they will finish all the paint job by next Tue.(We will have a 4 days national holiday here in TW till next Tue) They will not have time to take a break because I will have my assistant keep eyes on them during this period of time.

I will not be in the office these days but I will try to reply your msg or update the situation whenever I can. If you have anything very urgent, you can call me directly +886-913660228.

Regards,

Brad/CarKing Tuning

got mine today! quick shipping!!

paint looks spot on, and the quality of the spoiler and paint look very good!

thanks brad!

my only concern is the curvature of the spoiler itself. it looks as though it will definitely need to be clamped down on the corners as the betalink/adhesive cures.

i don't really have any time to install it today, but i will probably give it a shot tomorrow.

Came with some type of glue. Should I use this or buy the betalink kit from BMW? $12.00 or so.

Are you guys going to use the glue or just tape alone?

Thanks

i went to the dealer and bought the betalink. just want to play it safe.

after test fitting it yesterday, i believe that tape alone will not work due to the curvature of the spoiler itself not being exactly the same as the trunk.

just got done installing the spoiler. took me about an hour to do.

if you're going to be using adhesive, i strongly suggest buying the bmw betalink adhesive. decided it was safer since bmw uses this stuff. also, it's it comes with beta-cleaner (to clean the surfaces, also works very well to clean off any betalink you may accidentally got on an exposed area). other stuff it includes is sandpaper to prep the back of the spoiler for adhesion and plastic putty knife thing to help spread the betalink.

since there is no diy for the spoiler, i used the regular oem spoiler directions as a reference.

brad had already included thin strips of double sided tape on the spoiler. i left it on. i took the beta link and applied it in between the two strips of double sided tape.

as i said earlier, the curvature of the spoiler is not totally exact with the trunk. i had to play around with the spoiler a little bit. in the end, i got most of down except for the bottom corners which is lifted a little.

service: A. brad has awesome customer service. even with his company located halfway around the world, he provides better service than some vendors located here in the states. the package was delivered super quick after he sent me the tracking number. he had good communication in the group buy thread as well.

quality: B+. the fit can be improved. as said, the bottom corners of the spoiler are lifted a bit. also, the "slot" area and the back part of the spoiler are a little wavy. that said, i think most people won't really catch it unless they're carefully looking.

paint: A. paint match is excellent. quality of the paint, clear coat, and cleanliness looks to be very good.

overall: A-. overall, i'm pretty happy with this mod. since i was getting a replica, i knew everything would not be 100%.

(the white looking pieces at the ends of the spoiler are actually blue painters tape.)

for guys in this GB,

I received few spoilers back from paint shop this afternoon.
Some of you must have received the tracking.
For those who hasn't received the tracking, I appreciate your patience.

We will review the capibility of our paint shop. It seems like that they cannot afford too many items at the same time. in the future, we will change our GB mainly for unpainted items. painting will be a selection.

I will give you an update tomorrow morning and see if we can ship the rest out then

That will probably be a good idea Brad, but to tell you the truth, I bought from you mainly because of the fact that I like the price to have my stuff painted and shipped here from Taiwan (順便支持一下國貨 ). As long as you can inspect the final product with care, a lot of us won't mind the wait I think. BTW I got my tracking number, can't wait....
