Thought it was you getting the M3!

I've often wondered what engines were in those vans - they don't half belt along the motorways.

Is Pontefract open then? (only joking anyone in Pontefract), I'm further east than there. Would be nice to play though

I'll give him a go. Anyhow my dear little sister hasn't returned MY camera yet - is threatening to do so tomorrow night. If I get stuck with Carlos then, (bad thing to say), I might be asking you guys if that's OK.

It's nice to see that Carlos is upholding his high standards of tact and decorum!

To add to the manual /auto debate I'll just say that I'd take the new gearbox as fitted to the 335's as it is so direct and locks-up so much more. However, I'd never want one of the old rubber band boxes, you just feel so disconnected from the drive. I had a 520d auto for a day last week and when you pull away the revs jump to 2.5k and hold there until you ease off, it sounds more like a hairdrier than a car.
Oops - sorry mjh, forgot to say hello & thank you (how rude).

I can respect his honesty

Agree: my Dad had loads of the old type auto boxes in his beemers - not good.

as per your reponse, you can clearly see how the guys have been missing the ladies on the uk forum, whereas our friends across the pond have their lady guest showing themselves quite literally.

anyway, hi and welcome to uk forum...

He probably means this one. Though with something like 1850 posts it'll take a while to read.

Isn't that 520d just so CRAP?! And I'm still in it :sad0147: won't have my car back for another week at least

I thought this was going to be 7 pages of "oooooh a girl on the forum". Glad it isn't quite that.

Also the irony of "nice to see the mention of a nicer class of person on the forum" immediately juxtaposed against a "Hello I'm Carlos" wasn't wasted on me

Hello, beemerbird, thought i'd add my welcome very late on! I have never seen a thread reach 7 pages so quickly! Great choice of car by the way, have you got 230's on it? (sorry if you have answered this previously)
