To add to the manual /auto debate I'll just say that I'd take the new gearbox as fitted to the 335's as it is so direct and locks-up so much more. I had a 520d auto for a day last week and when you pull away the revs jump to 2.5k and hold there until you ease off, it sounds more like a hairdrier than a car.

Agree: my Dad had loads of the old type auto boxes in his beemers - not good.

as per your reponse, you can clearly see how the guys have been missing the ladies on the uk forum, whereas our friends across the pond have their lady guest showing themselves quite literally.

Streuth, those women in the US must be confident! I bet they're all quite tall & have large ..... mouths full of pearly whites. I stopped growing at 5' 4", least I dont' have big feet though! Not attractive on a woman me thinks.

Isn't that 520d just so CRAP?! And I'm still in it :sad0147: won't have my car back for another week at least
