Sorry could be my explanation... There are several FSC inside the cic. There are 3 for the navigation alone, 1 for navigation (fsc 17), 1 for map certification(fsc 1b) and 1 for map activation(fsc 28). The app (fsc 19) has 1, if you have c1a then your require the FSC from BMW, this will need to be input via ISTA, FSTools or DrGini, I dont think you can actually type it in. If you have the older c16 on the cic then you can just code apps on the cic and not need the 19 FSC cert.

Yeah I just plugged the usb in and it initiated itself from what I remember. The USB has to be formatted in fat32 though of the car won't recognise it and start the upload.
