When you gotta use wood as press accesssories. Also hate when the bearing stays stuck on the hub

Trying to solve overheating issue...

Spent this afternoon trying to diagnose a tricky problem! Just had water pump replaced on my E91, but car is still throwing up errors of overheating. Will create a new topic when I'm able to do so, hence this reply to a post first

Did you have to get it paint matched after or you found one with your paint on it?

Spoiler came unpainted so had it paint matched and installed by a local body shop ($300).

I didnt get a quote for the job but probably should have. I did however end up removing the bearing out the hub and pressed the bearing out with more good ole wood. I think the driver side I'm just gonna take the spindle and give it to a shop to press it in should be a few bucks compared to them doing everything

I had to try out my new press somehow so this is it

Went on the 6 hour trip to Denver.

Happy to announce my transmission has thrown a 4F83 code and one of my rear running lights went out. So thrilled. Haven't even started the trip back home yet.

Have you broken any mirrors or walked under some ladders recently?

I have no idea what kind of massive snap ring tool they must have used to put this circlip in place but it's near impossible with these hazard freight ones

At least your parts look clean. If I tried that on a Scottish car everything would be rusty as hell. My circlip pliers are pretty wimpy, I think we should both invest in a better set. You can never have too many tools :-)

Do you live in a rust belt state or a state that uses salt on roads in the winter?

No but for a solid few months I've had very good luck. 🤔

Also small update: The bulb is fine it just came loose after hitting a few good sized potholes. It did loosen my clunk a little more so that's exciting
