My old Jeep YJ was a rust bucket after being station in Camp Lejeune N.C.. It spent a lot of time at the beach when not deployed and it showed.

well to be fair, YJ frames rotted out at the spring hangers no matter where they lived.

Most of my issues are not from stuff getting rusted in place but just either bad parts or bad luck for stuff just seizing in place. Never actually had to take out anything rusted out in this car

Very true, but I'm talking the entire frame, suspension, everything.

Just got done with the axle replacement, wheel bearing, control arm and sway bar link. Now to hope it doesn't just explode while doing 60mph.

Btw this Autozone axle the circlip is WAY too big so it kind of is stuck as shit inside there after it went in so who knows if it'll even come out at all, it was a royal pain to get it to go in so I'd suggest either reusing stock circlip or don't buy an Autozone axle if anyone is doing this job on an XDrive.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that axle doesn't look like it's seated properly. The nut should go on farther so it can be staked to the axle so it can't back off. That's what the notch in the axle is for. Are you sure you got the bearing on all the way? If not the circlip would definitely be hard to install.

Oh no I tapped the axle with the hammer a few times when I had it mounted so it backed in a bit but it sits pretty flush when it's all the way pushed inwards. I'll show when I assemble it, hopefully it's good lol I think I pressed everything correctly

Quick question - How did you get the car on 4 jack stands? Meaning where did you jack it up and in what sequence?

Yeah, that second picture looks good. Don't forget to stake the nut so it can't loosen off.

Drove the back two wheels up onto 2 boards I had stacked up (car is too low for my jack). Jacked the car up from one side on the rear jack pads. This raises the car up enough to put a jack stand under the front side jack pad. Then do the same to the other side. So now the whole front is raised up. Now put the jack under the rear diff cover and raise it up then put jack stands under jack pads.

Replaced my windshield washer pump.
Now, I can shower in traffic again.

Any time I've done mine, I put mine on 4 stands, I do the following.

E brake on
Lift the front (subframe point) just enough to get stands under the pads at the lowest setting
Then lift the rear (center rear point) until I can get the stands under 2-3 notches above shortest.
Then work back and forth(front to back) lifting each end a little higher that the other.
Once you have them at a height you like, raise each end just off the stands to make sure everything is straight.

I found a thread regarding enabling rear foglights and I thought I'd give it a try. I don't have access to any Lego and I don't have any pen caps ( all click pens ) so I made the button extension piece out of wood. It took a few minutes of fiddling with it to get right but It worked out fine in the end and the rear fogs are working a treat.

Installed my remote start kit just in time for a cold front to come in. Only one small problem: It does everything it's supposed to except start the damn car

Some remote starters require the parking brake to be set. Have you tried that?
