Might as well put a 6-Speed in.

Jolting going into 4, 5 and 6. Had the gearbox serviced late. First BMW so should've done more research before buying. Would say its slipping as such but I didnt put it through a gearbox service which has not help. I checked the adaptations and clutch E is on 750mbar. Been told by my local 'BMW specialist' to put the gearbox in for a refurb or buy a new box...
I'd have it serviced again and if it's still doing it I suggest you try some Lucas transmission fix additive. Maybe the guys here frown upon mechanic in a bottle solutions but that completely solved my torque converter jerking issue in my old civic and then drove it for like 20k miles and not softly until it got totaled.
I wonder if this additive would fix my failing Clutch C. Lol. Sometimes at highway cruising (so far twice since ownership ) it nearly redlines and throws a code 4F83. Woooooooo

Maybe you need solenoids since that's a zf box I think and that's yet another "maintenance item" If he didn't say he supposedly saw his clutch worn on the scan I would have said do them too. I think those diesels have a reputation for beating up transmissions specially the 335d

I need some help. I boughta set of f3x brembos (front). Im wanting to get them powder coated. To save money, I decided to disassemble them my self. First caliper, easy peasy with air compressor. Second one is giving me trouble. 1 of the pistons is being stubborn. I used the air compressor and 3 popped right out and the 1 stayed in. To regain compression, I put the other pistons back in but now 1 of them dosent want to go back in and I dont want to force it.

Friend of mine recently put in my ATM exhaust and VRSF downpipes. He's throwing the inlets in today.

I would probably end up putting the piston in the freezer at the lowest temp for about an hour and it will likely go in. That's what I did with my wheel bearing and it was going in super easy with the press into the knuckle

Aye - should have probs posted them but not posted pics here before

Should be before after - If you consider this good i did carb cleaner to bridge then brake cleaner to 90% full - left for 30 mins, sucked out fluid, moped with paper towles, scribbed with tubular brush, refiles with carb cleaner to bridge left for another 30 mins, repeat suck claen scrub adn then final spray with brake cleaner and then dry up.

I had two days of not needing the car so took my sweet arse time

Just put it in the freezer. It will be there over night since I just left for work. Hope this works!

Deep sea blue over black with walnut trim. Premium, exec and tech. No M sport, audio or manual. Manuals are too hard to find and my disco is pretty well dead.

Was a 1 owner car with a full service history, clean carfax and title. Even had the trans fluid and filter changed at 106000!

Finally solved my reservoir cap not sealing, it was the cap itself. I thought maybe I wasn't putting enough pressure on it, but it was the cap itself. The oem cap is now blue.

It's funny how the stuff that fails on these cars with the N52 are typically small little things that you wouldn't think would fail: washer pump, window regulators, vent tabs, oil leaks m

Trying to acquire an E90 thats been neglected by the harsh sun and weather this last year. Its an 06 325i in Sparking Graphite Metallic. Manual, interior sport package, and only a small amount of 285k miles. Its been sitting outside a transmission shop for the last year but after some light investigating I was able to find the owner. Called him up asking if he was interested in parting ways with it and he sounded fairly tempted. Said if he didn't get it up and running within 3 more months it's mine. Only thing wrong with it that I know of is the clutch needs replaced and I believe one of the door lock actuators too. Did I mention it has a CF roof and trunk spoiler? The sun beat them to shit but that's okay. Hopefully he lets me take it home, I've always wanted my car to be SGM with the sport package and 6 spd. Just needs a 3IM, 330i tune, and some TLC and it'll be good enough for me before the mod itch insues

Replaced purge tank solenoid assembly by intake manifold/throttle body and car drives so much smoother. No CEL either after clearing codes.

Replaced fuel filter at 120k. Idles much better. Seems to have a little more pickup. Amazing how this stuff creeps up on us.
