Because I don't want wasting time to check cable or emulator first. Now its clear that I need to change my reverse camera. |

If you go OEM, make sure that you get the TRSVC module from an E-series car, not an F-series (they don't work). The menu is the same for all cameras, oem and non oem, it's the cic that provides the menu, the camera just supplies the image. For the extra menu items then you need the oem TRSVC module.

I'll have to start looking for parts... E70, E71 will work then? Is the OEM camera slightly bigger, what size does it have? /Christian |

I have a brand new emulator for $70 shipped. I was gonna install it in my e92 but thanks to the ice storm my car is totaled.
Why wait for 6 weeks for this to come in from China when you could buy mine? I'm here in the states.

So i attempted this and connected everything. Now no sound nor bluetooth connectivity. Also no video of backup camera but this might be due to not coding the car yet. Has this happen to anyone?

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same sound and Bluetooth issue after attempting install. Was it a loose cable at the back of the CIC? That's the only thing I can think of |

It took me a couple days but it turn out to be the radio's MOST bus output connection got pushed in and didnt align properly. Its honestly still kinda loose but was able to connect it for now.

Okay, got it. Thanks for the quick reply. Going to take it all apart later today when I get a chance and see if I can fix the connections. Cheers!

I don't think I even went anywhere near any of the other fiber optic cables so I'm kind of stumped. The quadlock is firmly connected into the back of the CIC and everything else works but sound and Bluetooth. The radio stations show up but nothing plays. I can select a song off the hardrive but it stays stuck at 0:00. No warning chimes or PDC beeps either. I'm afraid that I may have bent or damaged the fiber optics cables. If anyone else has any ideas it would be much appreciated. UPDATE: Upon taking another look at the MOST pins coming out of the CIC, they still didn't appear to be popped out enough. I ended up opening up the CIC and the MOST pins were not secured in the clips inside the CIC. I pushed them back into the clips from the inside of the CIC, put everything back together and reconnected and voila! Sound and bluetooth are working again. Now my navigation seems not to be working but I didn't use it anyway.. lol. Last edited by dmz_m3; 04-10-2021 at 09:31 PM.. |

So I'm not sure if I need some extra coding, or my emulator is DOA or the camera is DOA. But I was hoping I could get the parkmenu to show up even though I know there may not be a camera display yet. |

My solder to the red wire didn't hold. I fix it, but still no picture or parkmenu.
I need to find something to check if I am getting video signal from the camera. Anyway, I will update once I get everything working. PS I just ordered a new OBD cable as I can't communicate with my new RDC module. Another thread says it's the cable. I was playing with INFA and NCS and can read some modules and not others. Which enforces what the other thread says about the cables. We'll see what happens. |

I'm not sure which emulator I have. I purchased it a long time ago. I searched in my ebay purchases for it and it doesn't show up. If you have a link for the correct emulator, please share it, I'll probably try that next.

I am retrofitting rear PDC this weekend and was planning on doing the combox retrofit next. I read somewhere that guys with a combox had issues installing the camera. Can someone confirm this, or point me somewhere on how to get a camera to work with a combox?
