Generally we look to see if someone posts they want a meet, say the week of or if they pick a Wed in the future. If there is enough interest people meet. If there is no post(s) the week of then nobody shows up. Weekly just doesn't make sense for most of us coming from a little further than 15 min or so and it was getting to be the same people week after week and nothing changed on our cars so it was really just 2AM burgers and beer, nothing wrong with that but gets pricey.

Which one of you guys was behind me today in Wynnewood? Pre-LCI E90, black, aftermarket halos, looked like Stoptech brakes and squeaky track pads.

Smooth 330i? Was it you? I have a suspicion....

I was driving my Silverado.

The more I think about it, I'm almost certain. I would've stopped to find out but I was on my way to work and already a bit later than usual...

Given his enthusiasm, I'm surprised he didn't flag me down. The back window of my truck has a gigantic BMW CCA sticker top dead center.

Needed to get to work so that was my focus this morning since I was bit late as well.

Hey, I did this on my car about 6 months ago. I replaced the oil filter housing gasket and the oil cooler thermostat housing gasket. If you do the OFHG, you may as well do both, because the thermostat gasket is even easier. I would DIY it... if you don't mind getting your hands dirty.

The toughest part is this: getting the oil filter housing completely off the block; as the intake manifold is in the way. Some people say you have to remove the manifold (the manual says to remove the manifold), but I was able to squeeze the OFH off the block by just carefully loosing and wiggling the manifold.

All in all, I saved hundreds and it was easy, if you have some free time. The worst part is dealing with the mess, but it's definitely worth it, IMO.

Let me know how you make out, if you decide to go for it, yourself.

thanks for the response! Ive been eyeing my oil levels and theyve been okay. may have been a bit of spillage causing that but im still watching it over time. Will def consider DIYing it as miles climb a bit.

On a side note, I may be interested in the meet! I wonder if I'll be the loudest one there
