When I replaced the burned up wire the pin didn't make its way into the dme connector 😬whoopsi haha. I'm going to take the harness apart again and recheck it all

This can be a bit better. Maybe one more treatment to get rid of the pitting.

After doing the VCG a few days ago, I ordered the aluminum coolant flange and oil cooler gasket as preventive maintenance. I already have the OFHG so I'll do both when they arrive. Funny, the dealership had all these items on their inspection list from two years ago for the airbag recall but there's still no sign of leaks except for the VCG.

I had an accident and the right headlight assembly was replaced new. That made the dirt headlight really sick out on the left side. I used cerakote headlight kit from Amazon. It came out great. From the reviews and the manufacturer, the ceramic coat at the end should be good for an extended period of time.

Threw the charger on it last night in anticipation of a snowstorm. Only took about 3 hrs to top it off so I think it will take me through this year without worry.

that's a dangerous game to play.

It fits, but it doesn't fit properly, and it's a very high risk of rounding over the torx splines, and once you do that you can't get a regular e torx socket on it and you're fully fucked.

Did my winter detail between yesterday and this morning. I’ve only put a few thousand miles on her since my summer detail in May and I don’t even know why I bothered to claybar but I always love that glassy smooth feeling afterwards though

I just did an Austin Powers marathon a couple of weeks ago. It'd been years since I watched them and the marathon reminded me why!

Installed and coded a heated steering retro-fit. Gonna be a nice addition for the incoming winter months.

Cheers!

Dropped it off at the dealership for FRM replacement. Came out this morning with dead battery bump started out of my drive way and no lights and no window operation. With a nice message saying service light system. This car is literally a nightmare as of lately.

I started collecting parts for my FBO project by ordering VRSF downpipes and CSF stepped intercooler. Let the mayhem begin!

12pt sockets/ wrenches are a good alternative to using e-torx sockets.

I would absolutely have a good/ great set of torx bits & sockets in my tool box if you are going to own and DIY European cars.

I haven't done anything past few days because I've spent all my time trying to get 2 vendors to ship me the parts I've paid for. Not naming names (they are both sponsors, don't want to start a flame war here but sheesh I gotta rant).

This is my chat exchange with a customer service rep from one of them today, and honestly I've had less frustration straightening out orders from China. The extra ? in the convo is because there was a 10-15 minute pause waiting for replies. This convo took over an hour (for me anyway).

--------------------

this order has been picked since past wed. but it never ships
Me

Good evening, I see that. Our warehouse is working as fast as they can to get orders out. I apologize for that.
Mackenzie

ok but i don't get it it's been picked since last wed and every day it gets a new expected shipping date. meanwhile something i ordered sunday is shipped yesterday.
when is it actually going to ship?
?
Me

It is showing an ETA date of today.
Mackenzie

i know what it is showing, it showed the 27th, then the 30th, now the 1st.... but it never ships, never gets a label just says "picked"
Me

I understand and I apologize for that.
Mackenzie

i understand things are hectic i just want to know that someone will look into this as to why it's just sitting there day after day
it's not because they're busy as i said i ordered something sunday and it already shipped. i ordered this on nov 22 and still nothing. i even split the order because something was backordered, and left things that were in stock. that was a week ago
?
Me

Okay I can reach out to someone in my warehouse and see what is going on with the orde.r
Mackenzie

i would appreciate that because something is glitched. you always ship fast, not have things in stock sit around day after day waiting for a shipping label
Me

Okay I will do that for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Mackenzie

thats all i need to know except when you will get back to me with this info
i can't go another day just wondering if it's going to move, this is holding me up bigtime
Me

Okay yes, I apologize again.
Mackenzie

no need for the apologies when will i hear back from you?
Me

I can reach out to them now.
Thank you for contacting *********, have a great rest of your day!
Mackenzie

ok thanks
i'll wait
Me

Thank you for contacting us.
Chat session disconnected.
