Do you guys notice that the dtc light flashes alot more often with the Cobb? I could be in 3rd gear on a dry highway and if I punch it the light would start blinking but I don't notice it cutting power though. I doubt i have enough power to spin 3rd gear with my MT rwd car.

* Re-flashed to car and this time it worked (takes awhile to flash)
* However, noticed it downloaded v201. Sigh.
* Went to cobb.com and manually downloaded/transferred v202
* With all the time spent going back and forth it started to rain so I can't even test it out now

Edit: Okay I had a chance to take it out. It's definitely got some more power, it gets to 100 very quickly, and the traction control has never seen so much use. However it's not like it's a totally different car or anything, or some sort of pavement pounding torque monster... it's still the same car, just a bit quicker. I have a dyno session scheduled for tomorrow so I can so what it's putting down.

Am I glad I got it? Yea. I think so. Now I just need to see how bad the MPG hit is...
Thanks for the order!

The MPG should stay the same if you drive like a grandma. Most people on a tuned car who notice an MPG hit find that hit because they are abusing their right pedal more.

ON a side note I notice the car is faster with traction control all the way off on any of these tunes.

I think the road speed sensors are acting up and holding some people back.

I was noticing the same thing this weekend. I have 265 Conit DWS and at times, in third at 50-70mph I can set the TC light off. It was even happening immediately upon hitting the gas before I could tell the engine was responding. But it would also do it up higher in the rpms.

Sometimes I could feel it cutting power and other times not. I am guessing it was dependent on the severity of the wheel slip. The TC light will turn on at any time if senses any wheel spinning out of sync with the others, so it might be power related.

I only have about 100 miles on the wheels though so I might still be in the breakin period. Per my dyno, I am pushing 380+ wft/lb, so it might be reasonable to get it loose if grip isnt great.

I have 275 Conti DW with about 800 miles on them so grip shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm...

Hey guys, could one of you map my recent cobb logs? I have 4 I can email.
I took some logs yesterday because my car feels substantially different with my straight pipe exhaust.. Great top end * may be better then before * but the get up and go factor doesn't seem to be there.

From the chart I noticed I was toping out at 14 psi boost, tapering down to 11 - 12!?!? Previously when I logged her I was hitting 16 - 16.5 psi tapering down to 14..

Wondering if COBB doesn't need as much boost in order to hit its targeted load due to my straight pipes, or maybe I have a boost leak?

Let me know and I can email them to you.

Thanks a million!

Too high boost?

I bought a Cobb AP a few weeks ago and haven't gotten around to check logs. I'm running 93 octane v202 with standard response. The other day while just driving around I did do a few logs just to see... I've read here about high boost (I think?) so figured I better check my numbers.

Now I've not done any pulls as such - just driving around (is it still useful?)

Anyway I haven't really figured out which pieces I'm supposed to plot but since boost is the one I'm worried about being too high I figured that was a good start. It seems to be to spike, but any thoughts?

You are fine. The spike you are seeing is after you shift / left off which is the throttle blade closing and boost building up in the prethrottle body map. If the map sensor used to dictate / direct the pressure for the tune was in the intake manifold you wouldn't see these but because it is based on the prethrottle body map sensor this is standard.

Hey guys, just wanted to get your input on this. My apologizes if this has been gone over in the past.

Basically I have to take my car to the dealership for codes relating to the vanos intake soleniod. I wanted to know if I uninstall the AP will it clear these codes? Just wanted to inquire because usually you want the shadow codes present when the vehilce is brought to the dealership so they can properly diagnosis the vehilce, otherwise they will state that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. Is there any way to unistall the AP and keep the trouble codes?

Thanks!

Yes. The COBB AP will not clear your codes unless you specifically tell it to. You'll be fine. The codes will still be there

I was seriously considering that and running 116 octane fuel but I'm too scared, already have turbo siren as it is.

Still waiting to hear from aquamist to have pumps stock in the country. I think it would be safe to stack with meth as long as I monitor my logs very close.

Someones done it on Giac stage 2 running 100 octane and meth if I'm remembering right. Would probably be fine for a few passes down the track but I wouldn't run it all the time.
