In turn, you're not Mark Buerhrle, who is never going to be in the Hall. Not. Ever. Or that sack of human excrement, A.J. Pierzynski or that ignorant baboon, Ozzie Guillen.

This is a repost for me...

Cub fandom is annoying generally because of their blind faith and optimism and general lack of real baseball knowledge. Through this they overevaluate their players and promote stupid arguments. There is a small faction of cub fans that really know their stuff (BTM) but they are often lost in the sea of beer swilling backward cap wearing maggots that crawl along the wrigleyville streets regularly.

Sox fans can be worse in that they think they are the smarter baseball fans in this city. While lacking the blind optimism, they are no better. These young impregnators of skanky women and old cynical men dat tink ditka is a god, think that they know baseball but do not mostly. That and their grudge against north siders is almost unbearable.

As one who grew up on the north side and used to spend alot of time sitting around Bill Veeck (not that he knew me or anything) I am embarassed by the cubs. I have great respect and admiration for the organization that the sox have put together. I don't think most reasonable sox fans believe buerhrle is a HOF SP but he is pretty solid. Aj is a punk but where he on the cubs you would love him. What's not to like? A gritty C who plays every day, handles pitchers well and has enough offense to provide value. As for Ozzie, the jury is out on the cubs skip but I would love ozzie to manage my team, even with the circus....and any cub fan that has suffered through the parade of idiots that they have put forth as managers that disagrees doesn't know what he is talking about.

I think you'll find that I am a baseball snob....dammit Brian...give me some zone ratings and Runs above replacement numbers now!

The sox are simply a better organization and a better team with a better chance of going to the playoffs right now, period.

Sounds to me like you want to get your shots in while you can. Also sounds like you're the one who can't handle us... not the other way around. I've been a White Sox fan since I came out of the womb in 81. I was born and raise on the south side for several years as a child, then moved up to the north shore. I have grown up surrounded by Cubs fans who are more fans of getting drunk at Wrigley than the actual team and game being played. It's sad to say but a good portion of their fan base are really just fans of being trendy and up north, it's fairly trendy to be a Cubs fan.

Now with that being said, I have a tremendous amount of respect for guys I know like Brian, who are fans of the game of baseball 1st and actually have have an intelligent conversation about the Cubs and take things into perspective that they have been a huge failure in getting back to the PS since 03. He's loyal, just as loyal as I am to my Sox and to be honest, he probably is a bigger fan of the game than I am.

What I won't stand for is blind hatred towards either team for unjustified reasons. You don't like AJ, fine don't like him, but make sure you have an actual argument for it instead of just remembering the fight with Barrett where he didn't even throw a punch. You don't like Ozzie, sure, back it up with some facts... I'm wiling to listen. But don't just sit there and insult them with no supporting data - calling people an ignorant baboon without supporting it makes you look like the baboon and twice as ignorant. Hell I can't stand Zambrano but I can tell you why I think he is a cancer in the locker room and his violent behavior shouldn't be taken by the Cubs or MLB in general.

Bottom line, if you wanna successfully talk baseball or sports at all you need to be able to keep a level head about other teams and your team especially.

No, its another company. I forget their name but I've used them twice with great results. Northern IL Wheel Repair?
