These are also 2". It will be no different than what you did effectively. I got them cause my flanges are rusted pretty bad and on top of that I kinda sliced into it and thru the pipe when I was cutting the top bolt loose with the sawzall. At that point I saw a sale on these things and bit, I already have enough things to fix.

As far as what I did for my car today...made it look way outdated. We bought a 2018 CPO Subaru Impreza 2.0i hatch as our new utility car. It's not very exciting to drive or look at, but the technology in it is spectacular for the price. Eyesight is an incredible feat of affordable applied computer vision and AI.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...Power-Supplies

total cost for my power supply was $20 and a set of old jumper cables.

kicks out 60amps@ 13.8 volts.

Awesome! I've always wondered: what does the car do with the extra power it's getting after the battery is fully charged? How does a power supply prevent overcharging the battery? Or does the car only draw what it needs?

once you reach the same voltage potential as the power supply it doesn't push current anymore.

that's why it's set at 13.8v. it's safe enough to not overcharge a 12V lead acid battery, but enough to present nominal voltage to the car.

no different than when the alternator is running the car and it determines the battery is fully charged.

you set the voltage using a resistor. IIRC I used a 25K resistor? That was months ago. I'm obviously a nerd, so I have resistors kicking around.

photo shows the jumper wire that kicks it on and the resistor that sets it's output.
I chose not to disassemble the breakout board and just soldered my cables right to the edge connector.

obviously it takes a pretty big iron to solder that gauge wire.

edit:
this is a dirty way to do it. I probably should have installed a switch instead of just jumpering it on. but whatever. you plug it in, i turns on. Don't be dumb.

Yes, those are Style 360s and were the base wheels. A set came on my '10 E91 when I picked it up in 2018. While I really liked the style, they were only 16s and they were a bit beat up. I would have kept them a while if the tires had been decent but they were about out of tread. I ended going up with 17 inch Style 66 M wheels. Sold the OEMs to a guy for his Z3.

I liked the style better than either of the "upgrade" options - if only they had been 17s:

After someone said they were oem and found them online and was semi-pleasanty surprised. Theyd be just about perfect if they were 18s or 19s, though 17s would still be nice

The 17s that came on my 325i sport package are similar, in that they are a 5 v pattern. Thicker and more angled but they may be a option. I like the style better that the star spoke on the 330 but those are 18s

These look good when brand new especially. It helps if the cars silver or graphite too. I agree they look better than stock 330 wheels, glad I bought my car with aftermarkets installed already

I'm glad that the ones on mine are scuffed up enough that it won't be a hard decision to replace them if I ever get to the point of it coming down off the lift. I never liked silver cars, dark blue and black are my colors but I will say for an old car the more I circle it like a vulture looking for flaws... it looks much better silver than it would black. It hides 15 years and 206k of use much better.

Never seen a perfect set lol, they're always curbed to shit. I really wish I could remember the name of this guy with a full msport 335i in space grey. Had the perfect setup. Small carbon accents, wheels, fitment, everything. Silver on silver is one of my favorites (when its not old-man silver)

There is this one which I like, though the wheels are a little large

I like those a lot! What are those?

I saw Apex Engineering (site sponsor?) has a wheel similar to those for $300 each. I'm awfully tempted. I love the OEM 18" style 162 on my 330i but they all have some moderate curb rash from the previous owner. I just paid $120 to have the two fronts straightened for now, but when the tires wear out I'll be stuck deciding between having these refurbished for about $150 per wheel or just buying new wheels.

I have no idea what they are I found this pic on Facebook haha. Any ZCP style wheel tbh

As far as your wheels go idk where you live but if you have winters you could use your current ones as winter wheels and new ones for summer

Those are badass bordering on custom looking.

I'm going to try to make the most of the accents and color I have to work with, which is silver, chrome and black lol. Mebbe I'll just shine them up real good.

I had to look it up. LOL I guess I have seen that colour before but it's so bland it doesn't register in my head. It wouldn't be my first choice either.

First big maintenance DIY on my E91. I completed them last night, but it was late:

-Oil filter housing gasket
-Oil Change
-Cleaned the oil filter housing and surrounding block by belt of old oil
-Mickey Mouse/Aluminum coolant flange
-Oil pressure/temp sensor
-Drained and filled coolant plus bleed procedure
-Serpentine belt and tensioner/pulleys
-Cleaned belly pan and installed new bolts
-Cleaned air intake box

Put her all back together and took a 10 mile drive to ensure no leaks. All good

Oh no, I love chrome depending on the application

I'm talking that bland, dull, almost rattlecan type silver. Hyper silver is one of my favorites on wheels for sure

He was actually talking about the paint colour. He even referenced Toyota Echo in his response. I totally get his point too. That silver is kind of a non-colour to me too.
