But it will look better than it does now. If the paint is damaged, the only option is a body shop but he’s got to either get video evidence of the accident, make an insurance claim or pay for it himself.

That's unfortunate man. Its a right of passage on these cars though so don't feel too bad

250 is pretty much operating temp so you haven't damaged anything
Definitely Bimmer life🤣.
My coolant temps were at 250, which is too high. I usually sit at 219 daily. 255 should trigger the red temp warning.

Ill have to look back at mine. Operating oil temps of 250 are normal depending on where you live. Usually oil temp and coolant temp from what I've noticed are around the same

Taught my brother how to do a transmission fluid change on the e46. It goes in limp mode after driving for more than 20-30 minutes and it seemed to be low on fluid so we'll see how it does now. Also turns out milk jugs aren't physically strong enough to pump against without them crumpling, who would have thought

Bought a chargepipe, LCI taillights, downpipes and exhaust. Wasn't planning on modding my third 335i as it's been pretty reliable for the last year being 100% stock till the mod bug struck and now it's broken.

Ahhhh yes. Always use the fat free trans fluid! A leaner car handles better and gets better mileage

My oil temps sit ~250 daily. This was my coolant/water temp that hit 250. That is way too high as 255 will make it go into the red and stall/shutdown. My daily coolant/water temps at ~219.

Hit 180k miles. 50k miles in just over a year of owning it. Honestly love this car for a daily driver. Fast, trust it to go anywhere, comfortable, looks nice for being 10+ years old, great handling, and has decent amount of room

Cool. Pictures when you get it. I was looking at the same thing for my car. Sent him an email with questions about custom colour accents. He never did respond. Let us know how your experience with him goes.

I'm almost embarrassed to post these after seeing @335e92tx Brembos, but they're new and shiny anyway. They're Powerstops, which are reconditioned and pretty painted OEM calipers with ceramic carbon fiber pads and drilled and slotted rotors. Waiting on SS hoses from ECS to complete the project.

He's usually pretty good, but with the holidays around the corner he's probably real busy. I think it's a relatively small operation.

I decided to change up my order to a tri stitch shift boot instead. Only $25, way better than BMWs. All I need to do is glue it to the old base.

He's been a big part of ZHPMafia.com for some time now. He's got a great reputation and everyone there has always loved his work. I'm pretty stoked.

That's a LOT of driving. Like 10x more than I do in my e92 haha. How's maintenance been in the last 50k?

Maybe I'll give him another shot in the new year. My car is in storage for the winter so I'm not in any rush. Also I found out about him when a Colby Wheel ad popped up on my FBook feed. I'm sure his in-box was full from that alone. As I said I look forward to seeing how your's turns out.

colorado.e9x I couldn't stop thinking about a polished out magnesium valve cover after you mentioned it. I got this for $50 on ebay mislabeled as a M52 cover, he wanted $70, I offered $50 and here it is. I'm not doing my VCG until after I'm done the rear suspension, that should give me plenty of time to work on this and get it as good as I can. Only an insane person would try to polish out the spark plug holes and other complex areas, but I'm just a little nutz so I'll clean them up and try polishing out the flat expanses.

That will definitely keep it lower! I am in Hawaii, so it stays warm year round. My Audi will sit at 209 daily. It is interesting to see the differences in temps and cars.

I'm glad I could be a good influence lmao. While you're in there.. It would be a great time to add MILVS. Doesn't require a tune to work though there is gains afterwards. Its also a great time to check your plugs

Heres a screenshot of everything ive done and at what mileage. Motor oil changes, air filter cleanings, and spark plugs have been excluded. Oil changes every 5k, spark plugs are between 10-15k, and air filters cleaned whenever they appear too dirty.

Stock turbos but unsure if replaced before. No rattle, no visible smoke, but burns some oil. When i did catless downpipes i noticed stock downpipes have been removed once before but car was modded and returned to stock at least once before my friend bought it from a dealer. Bought from friend as stage 1+ at 133k miles

Yeah thanks I don't need much of a push to take the shiny path

I haven't looked into MILVS yet, what kind of gains can you get and is it detrimental in any way? I did the plugs and coils first thing when I got it, it was the simplest thing to do to start getting to know the new engine. It's not leaking much externally unlike the oil pan was but the 2 middle spark plug holes had quite a bit of oil in them, so it needs a gasket for sure.

I like getting these extra parts from ebay when I can find them cheap anyway polishing or not it's better to have it before you need it. Now I have to polish out the original and stick it on the 325i when it gets it's turn on the lift.

My 325 with the metal valve cover had some cracks on the spark plug holes I think maybe from failed coils in the past or something. That would make it a bitch to polish on the inside at least.
