That's exactly what the CDV delete is supposed to improve, the jerkiness between shifts (most often 1-2) caused by the CDV engaging the clutch at a predetermined speed regardless of how fast you operate the clutch pedal.

What shift knob do you have? I just put the ZHP knob on my car and don't think CDV-delete will be necessary.

I have the one that came with the car.

I generally dont notice any jerkiness between shifts outside of having to left off the gas.

I have no issues with shifting, everyone just makes it sound like the greatest thing ever. I would give it a try if there wasnt the chance that it might be bad. I remember researching it years ago and didnt think it was for me. But maybe its an improvement I dont know because i have just learned to live with it.

Like, i know I am supposed to rev match, but if I am say on the highway and go neutral, then put it back into 4-5, I am slow off the clutch and let the syncros pull my rpms up. I dont rev match unless I am going up to 4-5k to get ready to floor it in a lower gear.

Yea, I agree it's really over blown on the forums. Reasonable people won't describe it as a night and day difference, and it's not that hard to get used to (at least for me it hasn't been). I still had a little jerkiness on 1-2 (notorious on the Z4Ms) and the weighted ZHP knob (4.6oz IIRC) helps a lot with that. So I'm content leaving the CDV in.

As I am taking the car in to get work done, just running through the mods i might have them do at the same time.

I am going to hold off on the OCC and see how the oil buildup was in the stock IC. See if my cars a high or low blow off offender.

Anything else I would want them to do while its in the shop?
