Yikes. I used to tell my bro when we were out cruising you could build an entire car with the pieces you find along the road, we found a chevy turbo 400 tranny once. Mebbe not that battery tho lol. Good luck w/ the tire
when I saw it on the road when I drove past it a second time I could have sworn it was a transfer case lol. Whipped a U to get it out of the road and low and behold..

Admittedly, eating Chinese food out of a damp styrofoam container with plastic utensils in a car that intermittently goes BRRRR when it idles because the passenger side engine mount is toast isn't all that romantic. Using a credit card to retrieve the driver side cupholder from the depths of the dash panel probably wasn't either. LOL

I guess dating is weird in the covid era.
I'm pretty sure I had a date exactly like this pre covid. It was awkward to say the least

With 2 black E90s it looked like you were responding to yourself
Hopefully she/he appreciated it - it’s the “charm” of an old BMW. Reminds me of my E31...

Wrt tires: do you have road-hazard? You can always go to Discount Tires and buy a replacement tire certificate for them - they don’t have to be purchased from them either!

He was definitely not a car person, and the car related thoughts of non car people are incomprehensible to us so I'm not sure! .

I think charm is a good way to put it. Although that amber alert on the dash is getting really annoying considering the issue was fixed long ago, just haven't reset it yet.

I can see the confusion

And my friends work at a shop so I should be okay for a repair as long as its not too damaged. I really dont want to replace the tire at all just because of the xdrive system

An engine making vibration every once in a while because of a motor mount failing I'd say is probably better than virtually no backseat room in an E92 in that situation lol

Cannot confirm or deny, however e91 dudes must have it MADE.

Honestly, having an e91 just for the ability to put an air mattress in the back would be so worth it. Especially now. Everyone who lives in my apartment except me has covid at the moment, so I've been living out of the car and on a friend's couch for 5 days. In an e91 it'd be quite entertaining!

Too bad the bmw gods decided we wouldn't get a e91 330i here in the states, otherwise I'd have one.

Well it could be worse. It could have sunk out of sight. As it is it looks like you'll be able to drive out on your own.

Did something similar in my E46 once, grassy field at a Highland Games in the next village. It rained and the field got churned up. I was picking lumps of grass and mud out of the car for weeks.

Finally got my car aligned and can drive it around now. A lot less vibration at higher speeds, now I can cruise over 80 fine.

It was basically squatting like a dog being dragged with those toe out settings. Tiny bit of toe in in the front now which is said to help highway driving which is all this car does

It wouldn't take much effort to convert an E91 328i into a 330i.

As for the back seats, my 330i has the fold down rear seats and while fixing some rattles in the back I realized I could fit a small air mattress back there and lay down. It's not perfectly level but would work if I had to camp overnight.

What's with the right side caster being slightly less? I had the exact same issue with my car. It's close enough, but the alignment tech told me he couldn't get it perfect and that I *might* experience a slight pull to the right on perfectly flat roads. I haven't experience any pulling on any roads, I can let go of the wheel and it tracks straight no matter where I'm driving.

After I bought my car I learned the previous owner must have hit a curb with the front passenger wheel because the strut and thrust arm had been replaced and that was the wheel that was bent and I had to replace. That's the side of my car with less caster. Subframe and mounts look OK, not sure if they're bent or shifted but I can't see anything. I believe the rear/lower arms haven't been replaced so I'm thinking that may be slightly bent. Perfect time to swap to M3 arms.

I've tried sleeping on blankets with the back seats down but haven't tried an air mattress. I love camping so that might be a good thing to try!

As far as a conversion, maybe one day. I'd want to do it properly and swap all different 330i bits like the gearbox and such, just for the sake of it being correct.

As a matter of fact we talked a bit about that. He said it was no big deal as the difference between them both was so small. I believe you are fine as long as it's under 0.3 degrees difference. One of my headlights is foggier than the other so I assume at some time this car had a bit of a fender bender though must not have been much at all. He told me if it was like 8 degrees one side and the other 2, he would tell me to get out of there lol. My car tracks straight so far. Caster is not adjustable in these cars at least not mine, so I don't know what your tech might have been trying to adjust. Also I have new control arms in the front

This guy aligns race cars for teams here in homestead speedway so he seemed quite knowledgeable

Not too hard to create an E91 330i - just need the 3-stage intake manifold with working DISA valves and a tune. Here is my E91 "330i":
