Should have bought that rear bumper and sold it to one of the e83 guys.
I thought about it but it was pretty damaged just like the front bumper which was sad. I mean idk how much that one is worth since I've been trying to find it and can't seem to figure out which brand. But you can see that cracks better here:

Also I saw these two basically new pre lci e90 headlights with the little rings and all that. But again they can be had for like 160 on eBay and these are very similar.

That rear bumper is wack. Looks strangely identical to the e90 prelci front end.

Same wheels as mine, really think they suit the E9x. When I buy a car with 18s I normally bin them for 17x8s and fit 225s all round, not this time.

I can't unsee that now lol. It gets saved a bit I think by the fact that the center scoop area is a lot lower than the sides, kinda like lci e90 m sport I think. Looks like something ac schnitzer would put out

Finished prepping it for tomorrow's track day. Was going to do an oil change but I didn't get to it. It's not really necessary since it's only at 3k but I want to shift the interval to a different mileage.

Otherwise, brakes flushed and bled, ps fluid, coolant, oil are all checked and ready to go. Going to change the scale on the oil temp gauge tonight so it's easier to see in the 200-275 range.

Started smelling something burning when getting out of the car after driving for a while. It's not particularly strong but it is noticeable. Took off the engine cover and discovered a very dirty valvetronic connector with some damp oil around it. It appears to be leaking. The piece is $12 shipped, so I'll start there and see if the issue persists. If not, I've got a valve cover job to do this summer. I haven't lost any noticeable amount of oil, so it must not be much of a leak. I'm guessing the smell may be from the accumulation over time.

I also discovered some messed up threads on one of my strut tower V brace bolts. Can't explain how that happened. It's like some debris got into it. The bolt still goes in though. I decided it's a good time to order an "Oh Shit" kit for chasing threads.

As expected, finished off the rear tires today. Car is doing a great job, keeping up with spec miatas on a technical 0.5 mi course with better drivers than I am.

Oil temperature is repeatedly hitting 17mpg, so I probably need to look into some cooler or exchanger options to keep it around 20mpg .

No understeer issues, if anything it's the back that takes some wrestling. Really impressive for a street car.

Oil change and tire rotation on the 328i. Got the oil change kit from Fcp euro this time. Should be around $30 for next oil change.

Or if you buy things through Paypal, you won't have to pay for return shipping. Paypal reimbursing shipping back

That's what it cost me to ship my oil back from fedex. All I did was sent my return shipping receipt to Paypal and a few days later they refunded the $23 back to my credit card.

You're telling me I don't have to spend $40 for return shipping

How do I do this

Just buy your next oil change kit or whatever the hell off FCP using Paypal. Then when you got to return your things back to FCP, send your return shipping receipt (It should have the amount you paid to ship the items on the receipts) to Paypal.

After a few days, Paypal will refund the return shipping cost back to you

Speaking of ricey crap... Looks like you have the same roof spoiler I do. I hate it but it's growing on me lol

I haven't even seen my car in a week. I miss it.
Honestly I like it, it's subtle but it needs a fresh coat of clear done and some the the trunk spoiler 😂

I installed my vrsf chargepipe. The silicone tube from the lower chargepipe popped off the first time I got on it. Put it back but tighter. Did it again. Next time, I cleaned everything again , readjusted the pipe to make sure it wasn't pushed too far onto the other side, and tightened the shit out of the clamp and made sure it was in between the grooves. The car pulls harder than with the stock chargepipe. So I guess my stock chargepipe had a leak or something. Maybe it's the butt dyno just because I installed something new. I did have a 30FF code that was intermittent and I could trace it, so that could be it as well. Either way, VRSF 7.5 intercooler, downpipes, and full street exhaust are getting installed hopefully next week. Tires are next.

Nailed it. I was surprised nobody had taken them but I guess indeed nobody wants them lol. Usually special package bumpers like m sport and such don't last long at all. Front is definitely uglier than the rear.

i should have taken pics, but oh well.

I replaced the rear shocks yesterday. 135k miles on the originals. LOL

The driver side shock has actually rusted through the body. When I pulled it off, I drained water from the body as I separated the piston. The mounts were barely recognizable and the dust covers were broken apart. The steel covers (?) on top of the stop mounts and dust covers were rusted and separated as well.

The car drives like new again! New tires, new front struts and bushings, and new rear shocks. The car is a blast to drive now!

Trying to get my exhaust system fitted. I'm deleting the cats and replacing them with Supersprint midpipes onto the stock resonator back exhaust. I got the mids bolted to the headers and the rear exhaust bracket in place and lifting the exhaust to superimpose the pipes so I can figure out where to cut. I really don't want to get this wrong it's a one shot deal but the pipes have a few subtle bends and neck downs right in this area so trying to find the best spot where the pipes are the same diameter and running the same direction to make the cut. If anyone has experience chopping their exhaust pipes any input is appreciated. I'm gonna walk away a bit to think on it so I'm not tempted to just start cutting.

I have heard of people used hair spray on the pipe before the slide the silicone tube over. I don’t know. I dislike VRSF with passion so had no reason to use hair spray on charge pipe lol
