I was told by TDI and 2deer to remove the mount and bracket before removing DPF. No way the DPF will come free otherwise

Yeah.. Unbolting the dpf first completely so it's loose.. Helps to reach that top left bolt for the bracket

I was able to get all bracket bolts out before touching the DPF. I didn't want it laying on the bracket and in my way. To each his own. Potato or potahto
Did RSX finish your DDE yet?

No I haven't sent it in yet. I have to program my DSC for CBS correction in about 500 miles before I can send it because most likely the DDE will get programmed also

Were you running any kind of tune before the downpipe? If you were, what? And also has it made a difference between the two tunes?

My car was completely original before the Ecotune mod. Along with the Ecotune, i removed the EGR cooler and used the 11 mm ID silicone hose connection on the water lines that would normally connect to it.

So, it sounds like the 2nd wave of installs will be happening/is happening for iaknown, 335dlci, yozh, and xbox. Let us know of any difficulties. It will be interesting if anybody flies Jess in and feeds him a big steak. He was super helpful to me as was of course TDI.

One more for you 335dlci, what is "DSC for CBS correction"?

My brake pad remaining life is incorrect.. It says it have 3100 remaining on my rear brake pads but they measure about 9mm. There has been a software improvement for the DSC that corrects the calculation of the brakes which mine is affected by.

WTF? I'd be snapping by now man. Is this simply a case of JR and Ecotune not being ready?

Huh? Was just a little humor. RSW has neither of our dde's yet....

I must admit that when DDE comes back from RSW they are packed very well. Fully sealed in plastic to protect against moisture and wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap. Awesome.

PS: I did get my own DDE back, just in case someone is concerned about the mix up.
