I did that to my roomate's B6 S4 last winter...it works really well. Remote display fits right into the mirror with a little wiggling and scraping, then we decided to put the actual radar in the front grill. Very nice!

oops, i thought the Akra was on there

while i agree the rear view mirror install is cool. The warning lights are still visible from behind, esp. at night. And to see the warning you have to look up to a point your eyes arent on the road or speedo to see it. i prefer display totally out of sight and closer to road and speedo, but that's just me

Are you planning to also get a vanity plate too? How about CYA AMG? When I was in Seattle, I saw a plate on a M3 saying VTECTHIS.

I'm thinking a Euro plate instead of a vanity plate. I have a friend at the DMV that is going to get me a really custom but real plate

Send that M3 in the direction of my prelude so I can rightfully remove that vanity plate, lol

Brian, I would go with AMG HAHA as most people would understand that more than attacking your own BMW's. But really it's whatever your happy with

To me, having been lucky enough to own multiple fast cars from various makes (e90 m3, E63 AMG, Audi RS6, blown e36M3, Audi S4 etc), these types of chest-thumping plate claims seem a little silly. I know when i drove my bone stock 507hp E63 AMG I wasn't too concerned about what a 335 had on his plate, nor did I think my car was in any way better either.

But who cares what i think, get the plate that makes you happy.

How about "AMG LOL" or "M LOL" Problem with "M" is that it is not as distinct as AMG IMHO, so people may not catch on to what you are saying unless you are specific "M3", "M5" etc.

I have to shove in a couple of low blows here. How about "LIMP" or "HPFP" or "WRNTY VOID" hehehehhe.

Got the exhaust installed last night. It was a fairly straight forward install. Took just short of 2 hours and was my first time. Surprisingly enough, it would have been easier on a set of ramps then on a lift, since the exhaust system is still pretty heavy (I didn't cough up 6 Gs for a titanium system).

If any of you went outside yesterday/last night you'd notice why I didn't make any videos of the thing yet, but they'll be coming soon once the weather clears.

First opinion...

The pipes definitely stick out a little further than stock though, which I am not a huge fan of...

Lol, I did the same thing.

Hey, anyone on here do a downpipe removal/install that can help me with mine? I'm fairly mechanically inclined but could use an extra hand, ecspecially an experienced one since I've heard this is a PITA. My downpipes come next week.

Fall Meet Dates

Guys,

I think we should start planning for our fall meet. I will be out all of October, so will start by proposing Saturday, the 13th of November.

Cheers.

Wow! I'm out of town for a few days and come back to a sticky MN thread - we've finally hit the big time I guess!

A November meet is good for me as I'll be out of town for most of October.
