If you've never done it on an N54...you have no idea how there is NO room. At most can fit one hand up there (no homo). The clamps have no clearance between the block and the flanges. It's basically...put it up there, line it up, see if you can get the clamp to bit...no? Try again. Trial and error over and over and over. The first time I also had to grind a pipe to get the flange to sit flush...so assuming your pipes line up correctly subtract 3 hours...

![]() I've actually become convinced that a lot of people posting their DIY times are fucking full of it actually...I've seen people claim to do something on their own, first try, in an hour below what an honest shop you trust will charge you for. Someone claimed that their first try changing out their steering wheel took them 15min. That's bullshit, or they are a wizard. |
