Did anyone make it to Cars n Coffee last Saturday? I was heading to Muncie Sat morning and followed a Supra Turbo and Lamborghini on 465. They were having a little fun. I was in the daily driver so couldn't play along too well.

Has anyone had a local Indianapolis shop install downpipes? (I live in Noblesville)

This is one mod I am not wanting to install as I can't get my new car up my driveway to work in my garage. On a sidenote - does anyone have a good concrete guy to re-grade driveways? Ha

Hey guys,

Quick intro...
I am living here in FL and my wife has been accepted into IU's med school for the class of 2018. We will know by the end of the month which of the 8-9 campuses she will be placed into for the start of the year in August. We are aiming for Indy, West Laf, southbend, bloomington, etc.

I would like to start with we have lived in FL our whole lives, and don't know anything about living in the cold weather. Although, I think the person who will suffer the most is my dachshund, Chamo. I am hoping for some help in finding a place to live and tips and pointers on how life is going to change if any. I am talking real basic things here.. I know I am going to be surprised..

First off, with no snow driving experience does it snow often enough for snow tires etc? Is there any one secret magic sauce that I should know about in the up keep of the cars? I have my 07 e92, and she drives a mazda3i. Is rear wheel drive an issue? And of course, is E85 hard to come by? I need a new clutch ever since get my new turbos :P

Anyways, when it gets closer to the day I'll stay in touch.

Any of you guys ever go to IRP/ORP/LORP/whatever it is this week? I go a pretty good bit in one or another of my vehicles. I will be there Wednesday evening trying to get a little more of this spring air and getting some passes on drag radials.

Cleancut, I'm a southern transplant, too. Moved here from Louisiana by way of California. Snow is definitely an evil experience (even after 10 years of dealing with it). And let me tell you, RWD + summer tires + 5" of that junk and you're not going anywhere! I got the wonderful experience of sitting in my car for about 5 hours one Friday this past winter when the forecasters got it very wrong. Thankfully my wife could plow her way downtown to rescue me since she has AWD.

I go to Wild Wednesdays a decent amount. I'm doing some work on my tune and I'll probably be out in a couple of weeks to see if I can get into the 11's.

I do plan to be at Cars n Coffee again Saturday. Anyone else?
