That is about as aggressive as you can get without the use of spacers or camber plates. Feel free to give us a call if you had any other questions regarding this fitment!
Would the 18x9" wheels with 245/40 tires fit an F30 that's not lowered, or do you need the extra camber (from lowering the car) to get them to clear?

also, whats your shipping costs like to the UK?
The 18x9.5" ET22 is very aggressive on the rear of an e9x, and would require a fender roll and possibly added negative camber to the rear if you would like to run a 265/35/18 street tire in the rear. You can use the 18x9.5" ET22 with the 255/35/18 street tire for a slight stretch for the rears to fit a little easier, but depending on the tire and ride height, you may still need a slight fender roll or added negative camber.

I'll send you a PM regarding shipping costs.

You can use the 18x9" ET42 wheel with 245/40/18 street tires on a F30 with OEM suspension without any need for additional camber.

thanks for confirming! i was hoping they would fit, but had the common sense in me was saying they wouldnt fit "within spec".

really don't want to be getting into rolling arches and silly camber, so i reckon the et35 profile2's would be the more sensible choice for a used, daily driver

For your 2012 335i coupe, we could definitely recommend the 18x8.5" ET35 and 18x9.5" ET35 setup if you're looking to keep your car stock and not mess with any camber or fender rolling in the future. Some people opt for the more aggressive 18x9.0" ET31 and 18x10" ET33 but those fitments will depend largely on the type of tire you choose to put on the wheels, as different tires are shaped slightly differently and can affect the fitment of the wheels on your car, requiring negative camber, fender rolling, or other modifications.

Do you have any pictures of the satin black wheels on an E90 (space gray is what I am really looking for)?

We don't have a photo of Satin Black EC-7's on a Space Grey e90 non-M, but here is a picture of Satin Black 17" ARC-8's on a Space Grey:

Hopefully that gives you an idea!

How come there are both concave with 31mm offset and flat face with 42mm offered for the EC7 in 18x9 but only flat face in 42mm offset offered in the 18x9 ARC8? A concave 18x9 ARC8 would be amazing for a square setup. Is there something with the spoke design that makes it not possible?

It does - thank you. Any luck shoving a 275 on the rear of an LCI E90? I'd love to fit a 245/40 & 275/35 on your 18x8.5" ET35 / 18x9.5" ET43.

The EC-7's were produced after the ARC-8's to fulfill the different fitments that people sought after, which is why the 18x9.0" ET31 was made. The ARC-8's do have a similar concave 9" wide wheel, the 17x9.0" ET30 that many e9x non-M pre-LCI owners have purchased for their cars.

Unfortunately we have not seen anyone do this yet, but we would believe that a heavy fender roll or pull would be required especially for performance summer tires (ie. Dunlop Star Specs or Hankook RS3s).

So what is the correct setup for a LCI E90 wanting to use the 18x9.0" ET31 up front with no fender mods? I want to use the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.

The 18x9.0" ET31 with a 235/40/18 would fit on the front of your LCI e90 without the need of added negative camber, or fender modifications. Some people have been able to fit the 245/40/18, depending on the tire, with stock ride height, but once you lower the car you may need to add negative camber for proper fender clearance due to the taller sidewall. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 is an all season tire so the sidewalls should be pretty rounded and the tires should not run as wide as performance tires, but we do not have direct experience with that tire.

So a 235/40 on the 9" up front and what out back to give a similar stretch?

If you can shoehorn the 245/40 (it looks to be an inch taller than the stock setup) what is recommended out back?

Without any fender modifications or added negative camber in the rear, the rear fenders are limited to a 265/35/18 with the 18x9.5" ET43 or the 18x10" ET43. With the 10" wide wheel paired with the 265/35/18, it will have the same mild stretch that the 235/40/18 would provide on a 18x9.0" ET31 wheel up front.
