I don't need to send out free stuff to prove it's a quality piece. His loss.

Good, bad, or indifferent here is a dyno chart for my baseline run, my peak horsepower was 186.91 In a few minutes I will do the silicone intake hose install and go back down for another Dyno run. My only two performance mods are the Dinan ram air intake and a PE exhaust.

Yes I am, but not today. Today is silicone intake tube test. I still have the charcoal filter so I might do a dyno run to see if removing the charcoal filter has any performance benefit. I bought I charcoal delete airbox from a forum member so if there is no performance gain (or a potential warranty issue) I can always change back.

There is a gain for the removal, but I'm interested in the Dinan.

The Dinan was already installed for my baseline, so we won't have a before and after dyno run for that specific mod.

Here is the follow up dyno run. As you can see, there was virtually no change after the Silicone intake tube install. After installing the silicone intake tube, I drove about 55 miles to normalize the ECU and made certain I drove both Highway and in stop and go traffic, with a few redline runs mixed in.

The Red line (file 006) was my best baseline run. Blue line (file 012) was my best run after the silicone intake tube install. As you can see it was about 10 degrees (Fahrenheit) warmer and the humidity was down about 15 points but the correction factor accounted for that. Perhaps not the result we were all hoping for, but at least we know if there are any performance gains they are likely to be minimal.

I have no complaints about the $145 I spent on the two dyno runs, as it was my contribution to the forum and now I also have a baseline for when I do the ESS reflash and/or the charcoal delete. By the way, I was the one in the car working the gas pedal during the dyno runs.

Automatic?
I gained 2whp with my charcoal delete. You might as well, it was recommended with the Dinan intake.

Yes, I have an automatic, the runs where made in third gear. I was playing with the data and the average peak horsepower of the four baseline runs was 186.04 and the average peak hoursepower of the four Silicone intake tubes runs was 187.96, so based on this, I suppose there was a modest gain.

I will do the charcoal delete, as I bought a charcoal delete airbox from a forum member, so this way I can always switch back if I need to.

As I said from the beginning.

Thanks for putting in the time/money and the runs!
