Lots of changes in 12 weeks.
I liked the car and you are doing well except;
1- Having perforated leather on M3 to make it very much like M sports steering wheel
2- Having white leds in the central LCD. 2nd picture looks so good like M3 where dials are white and central LED is orange. 3rd pic with blue LCD....sorry!

Looking forward to see your M3 roof installed.

Do you mind me asking whats the rational for having it?

Thanks for the reply Sam.

Reason for sticking with the perforated side is I actually prefer it tbh and it matches the X5 one lol. Plus it's way thicker.

Dials.....hmmmm I possibly agree with you tbf. After going the whole hog I did think the amber centre was more OE but having said that I like the blue/white too (a bit GTR ish lol).

As for the roof, well I don't want to get into a debate with people over the slight performance benefits of it being lighter and lowering the centre of gravity etc SO it's a pure looks thing lol. Very unique and individual on a non M3 car me thinks.

Oh Sam, finally disagree with something you said. And you'd better not look at my dial and center LCD lights when you are sat in my car next month I have had the same done by Marius last weekend.

It's a personal decision and IMHO if you are going to make the 2 dials white lights then the Centre has to white aswell otherwise it does like like a mishmash.
I guess it really is a matter of Opinion.

Raj, you car looks stunning and those side skirts REALLY do change to look of the car dramatically.....BTW love your dials and centre LED mod

Good going mate.
Any plans to make it m3 replica if you are doing the roof?

We all are different.
I truly feel sorry for those who get purplish lcd.
If it was white lcd matching with side dials, then a big YES.
However having bluish purplish lcd..... Good luck mate. Perhaps each to their own.

As above. The roof and other mod Sam is on about will have to go on the back burner for a while as need to direct finances else where. Family first, car later...

Plus get to enjoy it for a while as is.

So I've been a little quiet on the mods front. But after a couple of months of waiting I finally got my hands on this:

An Akrapovic SS Evolution exhaust system.

Akrapovic are synonymous with quality and sound in the exhaust world. They've built a huge reputation for producing some of the best looking systems and are standard on quite a number of very high end manufacturer cars. They predominantly produce titanium exhaust systems but are stupidly expensive. But for the 335i application they do a stainless steel variant but it's still over £2k for this evolution system which is from the DP's back.

I got it for way less luckily.

Once I got it I had to get it fitted asap. I'd been looking to do something with mine as I've got the AR catted DP's and Eisenmann rear boxes but standard centre section with the secondary cats (which is a little restrictive).

So a trip Midland VW in Cannock to go from this:

Eisenmann Rear

Standard centre section

AR Cats:

To:

Straight through 2.5" piping

Single rear centre box with some huge titanium tips

Straight away on start up she sounds so much more purposeful. Certainly know it's no way stock now lol. Also due to it being so much lighter and so less restrictive, the car feels so much more responsive. The turbos feel like they spool up a little quicker as she pulls with more eagerness than before.

I weighed the back box for the Akra and then the Eisenmann twin boxes and the Akra is about 7.4kg lighter. Then there's the saving from the centre section too.

Proper pleased....
