Not that newer BMW's aren't without their flaws (what brand isn't?), but I know people that form opinions of their models now based on their experience with a car they owned for a short time 15 years ago. As slow as I think they are sometimes, I feel they've done a pretty good job addressing issues that plague prior iterations over the last decade for at least the models that have peaked my interest. I have a higher mileage (160k+) N54 that I've owned for over 8 years and all things considered even it hasn't been that bad to me reliablilty or quality wise. Looking forward to round 2

Nice video but I watched it with the volume off and the close captioning on after two minutes. Demuro voice is like fingernails on a blackboard.

Thank you BMW.

Cant wait for mine to arrive.

I do not see a dyno run by Road and Track. Their article simply used IND's data. I've seen this twice now, where are you getting this?

I've only had 5 BMWs, typically keeping them for 7 or 8 years from new, with the only engine work besides standard maintenance on any of them being a single injector replacement on the 2009 135i.

Thanks for the positive reliability reviews. I may price an extended warranty just to see whether that piece of mind is worth it.

One friend bought a CPO 3 wagon and wound up driving the dealer's loaner 5 for six months while they waited for a new auto transmission, and then a new engine, from Germany. $20,000 in repairs later he got his car back.

I'm sure it's an outlier, and he loved the 5 sedan, but he still laughs about that wagon. It drove great though.

First of all, Daddy Doug is not the voice of reason for literally anything. He just likes cars and does what he does to fund his business.

Second, the entirety of the G87 M2 is about quirks and features.

You buy this thing to be different. Plain and simple.

Underneath it's an M car still so yea it's not going to suck. That's obvious.

I dont know anybody who takes him seriously. Definitely not one of the more astute reviewers out there.. Cant believe he really has 4.6m subs.

I’ll give Doug a jab at his presentation style… but in all truth, he’s quite entertaining and I enjoy his videos.

This was another entertaining short.

Front just looks odd. Not aggressive at all and odd as if BMW made a last minute change.

It is the ride height that is the issue. Sporty designs will look odd on a raised chassis. Imagine a Huracan with the suspension lifted 5 inches; that would just be awful to look at, same goes for the M2.

He's not my favorite for actual reviews, but he basically single-handedly created the YouTube car reviewer genre.

I do love the really quirky stuff he does. And hate on him all you want, he built this huge following with basically nothing but an iPhone and some time, and now has leveraged that into a $37MM investment for cars and bids. I was super happy for him when he got the Carrera GT.

I went another route and always made sure to buy car with lower miles used, so around 60k max. Never had issues with engines, on 6 BMWs. Only one, Z4 3.0si had the cooling fan break, which is some E46 issue and that was fixed easily, and luck was on my side as it happened at -20C winter and engine didnt really have chance to overheat as car was still cold. Drove to mechanic, fixed for 600 euros.

I found BMWs in my experience which were 50-50 diesel and petrol engines - pretty damn reliable cars, espeically considering the rest of the package. E90 was most reliable car platform for me and most enjoyable to drive to day.
