Thanks guys.....

Biggest transformation is coming and that is OEM xenon retrofit.

I have been waiting for months to get this done... Finding complete OEM xenon is nearly impossible. Finally got a pair for £700.

Next task was to work out the wiring and there was zero info on that....so I had to start from scratch. After digging for few days, I managed to figure out wiring.
Next was to work the necessary coding. Spent good few hours to crack that.

I will finish it very soon.
So all this silly money spent just to get 'proper' DRLs and give this car a face which it deserve.

Xenon retrofit has been completed. Front end has M5 LCI kidney grills and here are the results

Thanks Raj.

Finally used Gopro hero properly and made a video of exhaust.

Its not where like petrol cars and not silly loud. Its subtle for Diesel...

Sounds gud, I must admit I'm toying with an exhaust for my 330, yours does sound nice and has some depth to it.

But on Friday I followed home a 110bhp Mk4 golf diesel and it sounded absolutely shite with its uprated exhaust on so I was thinking err maybe not...but after listening to yours makkan00 I thinking maybe again...

What a build!
I think you've modded this like a gentleman! Lovely choices! The interior is to die for. So well refined! Front end is a huge upgrade.

Many thanks for the compliment. Exhaust was dead on my car when I bought it and with this subtle exhaust, I get a decent sound. Cannot complaint tbh. Its never going to be as good as petrol car but for diesel, its a good start.

Many thanks for the kind words.

I wanted it to be wrapped but my insurance company does not cover wrapped cars. When I search insurance via confused.com, it does not give me option to list wrap as a modification.

I was after M5 lip. Ordered one from China and it was not a proper fitment. Due to the size, I could not return it.... And struggling to find decent M5 front bumper lip at decent price.

Reverse camera is on the list. And I guess its enough for the time being.

I know what u mean about China fitments, I ordered and fitted a CSL rear spoiler after 2 days it lifted and refuses to fit...I really don't know how they can get away with selling crap...

I do like the look of the new 5 series alot, I keep looking @ white ones and thinking yep I like them...

My E60 2 litre diesel was flat as a fart before being mapped and to be fair wasnt that much better after... seats the new 184bhp 2 litre like?

this car is a winner!

what colour are you looking to wrap? i see a few F10 M5 replicas on the net i guess you see them too, that one off brown 528i colour is quite nice. there is a red M5 round my area and a friend has a matte blue one.

gloss yellow would look something special!

White F10s are my favorite in M Sports disguise. Shame that they fetch premium due to their colour.

Not decided yet as insurance implications are high bud.
IF I will go then perhaps frozen blue or gold colour which new M4 gets.
However I will have to go for black wheels on M4 golden colour.

Updates:
- M5 side indicators were replicas therefore it started getting condensation. I did not like it so inquired re: OEM side indicators. After 10% discount a pair cost £100.
Ordered and fitted but OEM indicators did not work. I compared both OEM and after market indicators and both had single diode emitting light through light tube (similar to halo rings). I could not find any difference. Asked on few forums and nobody had idea.

Sat down and started thinking as bmw engineer! If you were making M5 then you had to make things slightly differently so people could not replicate it.
Few possibilities
1- Different light module
2- Different pin numbers on light module
3- Different polarity on the connector

Started with simplest thing and reversed the polarity. Viola! It worked. So bmw made reverse polarity on M5 wing indicators. All working now and condensation free wing indicators.

- Reverse Camera installed. Although seller told me that it has CCD sensor and its best camera but I am not happy with the results. My E90 camera gave better results. So two possibilities;
1- Camera sensor is not as good as what I had on my E90.
2- F10 CIC screen is bigger compared to e9x CIC therefore you feel difference in terms of quality.

I may order another camera from German company and see if that make any difference.

Hi Sam, I'm thinking about trading the e90 for an F10, it's unlikely that I'll manage to find everything I want & will probably have to sacrifice the rear camera, how difficult are they to fit & code on the NBT Pro Sat Nav?
Cheers

Good to hear that. Its natural progress....
F10 is more complicated compared to e9x and things are not easy. However if you buy a car post 07/2012 then retrofitting NBT is easier.
Prior to that, its awkward and not everything works.

Good luck with search. Feel free to ask any questions if you have.

Tell me about it mate.
I was looking for a car (for my brother in law) and we considered E90 and F10.

Took us 2-3 months to get a car which was well loaded. Paid £18K for M sports F10 with 75K with FBMWSH. We opted for high specs car as it has memory seats, xenon, electric adjustment of steering wheel, folding mirrors, sunroof, rear cameras and panoramic view camera. As he does only 7K / year so he opted well spec'd car. In two years time he will get rid of it @90-95K miles.

In your case, you do a lot of miles so perhaps you will go for low mileage car. Consider F30 and F10. Some people on F30 forum complaint of wind noises but Sport disguise with xenon looks great especially in Estoril blue.
