similar to Socket, I've also removed my Procede and MHD only now. Never looked back. enjoy!
(ps. the ebay cable didn't work for me personally, but I got my money back) |

Agreed - I wish the MHD would do a proper check/assessment before committing to the flash.
Sometimes it says '1 - 2 minutes estimated' for a simple map change, then you go ahead and start flashing and it says it's completing a full write, please wait 30 mins. Pisses me off. Also, if you cancel at all, even 2-3 seconds after initiating a write, the whole lot goes to shit and you have to do 20-30 minutes of full-write again. I found this out the hard way. |

So has anybody actually got dyno results with the ots mhd maps?
What are the actual gains on paper? I have catless dp on the way and dci. Pulled the procede off as car chucked limp mode and o2 sensor was replaced. Tried the prodede again but runs like sh$t so now looking at mhd. |

Anybody using a MHD backend + JB4 combo?
I did mine last week, but kept on getting a check engine light caused by an error code generated from using a US flash on EU car (something about DTML voltage leak and someother shadow code regarding code missing). I tried do a custom flash file using tuner pro following the instructions given on n54 forum, but MHD won't let me flash my newly created file and kept on saying the version is different or some shite? EDIT: And just my ****ing luck, n54 forum decides not to work right now, so I can't ask them about it...

DMTL code sometimes comes up for me as well and Ive had the voltage code maybe once or twice. Doesn't really bother me I just clear it when it comes on every few days.

I really think that OTS maps, back end flashes and custom tunes should automatically determine the exact latest ZB number for the exact car, patch the modified tables to that correct ZB and flash to the car rather than the current "one size fits all" setup. BMW don't have one flash for all car variants for a reason.

Car drives alot smoother at low/moderate throttle after doing throttle reset through MHD compared to just JB4 along, which always had minor 'hicups' during low/moderate acceleration no matter what settings I played. |

Any one in Aust running stage 2 OTS? If so, what are your thoughts compared to your current tune?
I'm waiting for my cable to be delivered, and then I will get Ken to write a custom pump 98 file and e40 file. I currently run a German PP Performance tune, which is great (quoted at 440hp fbo), but I want flexibility to run e85. |

E.g. my custom maps are only 18kb in size, and it uses the correct tables for my VIN to create the rest. |

Then I was jb4 + map 6 + backend flashes. I'm also running the stage 2 OTS at the moment. The MHD flash drives so much nicer, and seems to spool so much harder. I'm much happier with this. I also have a custom E60 flash for when i feel like ethanol, and this is very aggressive, but has all the same drivability and smoothness as the OTS map. But it took me around 12 revisions of the flash to get really happy with it! |

Nice - any reason why you didn't get a custom pump map?
Have you run your car down the 1/4 yet or dynod it, it would interesting to see how fast / powerful stage 2 OTS is. I did see a yank dyno, and it looked quite conservative ~365whp. I can't recall if it guy ran some e85 with it (think their petrol contains e85 in any case to get them to 93) Quote:
