I moved to CT a couple of months ago :/ not sure where I'm going to install them though, my house here or my place on Long Island. If Long Island then I'll probably dyno at pampena in ronkonkoma. If in CT then probably weapons grade in Wallingford.

My car is under the knife. I have a pan or main leaking so the sub frame is coming out... While I have it down, I'm installing a VAC stg1 head with stg3 port and polish. Also putting the ALL NEW HEXON RRXXX turbos on. Not 100% sure if they'll be the RR650's or if Wayne will call them RR750's. I'm thinking 750 if all goes well.

Pulling your Hexon 550's already?! How do you think your transmission will hold up if you significantly up the power again?

Yeah, time to upgrade... hahaha...

Not sure on the trans... but I can say that with 102k miles on my existing transmission I was able to run over 600 whp and the transmission was holding without any issues. I think a lot to do with tuning because I run my torque output as high as possible without throwing torque limiters within the logs by scaling the load to torque table axis. Helps keep line pressure higher, something other tunes and tooners don't look at.

No, they will go back to HEXON for inspection.

I abused them way beyond what the normal usage would be, so we want to see what the impact was to ensure customers are getting the best product available on the market.

Cool. So you put about 1,500 miles on them? Any noticeable struggle or smoking from the driver's seat? Any shaft play once they were removed?

You didn't put that many miles on the RR550s but you certainly sent them through the ringer!

If you have a moment I am also curious to see some logs, primarily your low rpm target/boost spool up.

Must be fun to be the guinea pig and try to toast turbos!

Actually about 2000 miles. I work from home so I don't drive a lot. So the vast majority of the mileage put on my car was WOT. 15 dyno pulls, 87 3rd to 4th gear pulls, 6 1/4 mile passes, and 12 1/2 mile passes @ Shift Sector. I would think that they would have rolled over and burned oil considering I was pushing them to 30 psi.

Again, I don't recommend pushing them beyond 25 psi and they make over 550 whp at that boost level. If you're looking for more, wait for the new bigger turbos. I should have pictures of them soon. All I can say is amazing so far.

I wonder how this kit would perform vs a 6466 in an auto car.

You can always spool them to 28 tapering to 25...

I'm sure the twins will spool quicker... but it comes down to personal preference. I wouldn't mind having a 6466 also.

Not to take away from the RR550 thread but for those looking at RR650/750 here is a thread with some hardware updates to the new turbos.
