The short answer... (I believe)
1.You can reuse the airbag in its entirety. 2.I'll let some one else comment on the cover, pref someone who has actually done it (but I think you need a new plastic cover with multi-f buttons) Alberts (ebay) price for the wheel and plastic cover with buttons is around £205 ($400?) + postage, bargain, do it |

Wow, that new wheel looks like a real M wheel!

I'm really liking the stitched wheel. I could do without the ///M on the cover though, and would prefer to keep my plain zsp cover. |

Oblu, You just have to get in touch with him, send him an email with your requirements and he will be able to help if he has the items in stock. Agree about the M badge btw.
Back to my saga of airbag protruding, it was down to the metal back plate being bent. Bavarian was indeed correct . My new steering wheel ebay purchase probably wasn't so new, as I imagine the damage was done by someone trying to tear the airbag out of it. The photo shows the bowed piece of metal, which I quickly bent back straight and I can report all is fine now. The only problem now is I have an additional sport airbag I need to sell (any takers, yours for £150) which I purchased rather rashly as I thought the airbag I purchased was the problem. Also my old standard wheel with airbag needs to go to a new home. |

Ok so i went to my local BMW dealer service depart. and basically showed him the print out of the ebay auction of this steering wheel with the part # which is 32 30 7 906 846 and asked him if that fits on the E92.
He told me that it wouldn't and that for the E92 we need one that was built after Febuary 2006 and gave me the part # which is : 32 30 7 839 114. So for anyone with a E92 that wants to get this steering wheel i have contacted the seller on ebay from Sweden and am waiting for his reply to see if he has that Steering Wheel or he can order it. It is the exact same one as the pictures above just fitted for the E92 . Will post back as details come through... |

Thankx Danny... Hopefully they are because the grip on that steering wheel in the z4 M coupe is phenomenal... I have been searching everywhere for the actual dimensions and can't find them anywhere. I even checked with the service depart. guy at my local BMW dealership and he didn't have that info. As for the one being sold on Ebay he says it's 365mm... |

LOL, man, how many times do you need to ask? Yes, it's thicker than than your ZSP wheel. The new m wheel is the same as the old m wheel sans the color stitching. The colors caught your eye eh? LOL Danny

Placed my order today...
And only getting the car end of January but damn this wheel looks hot. And if it's the same size (width/thickness) as the one in the z4M coupe then i'll be in heaven!!! |

BTW: Who did you place your order with? On Ebay? It looks like the new wheel is $290. Is that what you paid? Also, will my airbag from my OEM SP wheel fit this new multi-color threaded M-tech wheel? |

Placed the order on Ebay from the guy from Sweden. The wheel is like 242$ plus shipping which is lie 52$... So ya about there 290$-295$... Yes if you have the sport package then your airbag will fit.. And in regards to the z4M coupe steering wheel it truly is pure heaven. When i sat in the M coupe i was blown away by how it felt... I have been trying to find the actual size(width) but couldn't find it anywhere and well the one from ebay is 365mm... But from the pics it looks like the same. So let's cross our fingers. |

No that is just the wheel...
The cover with M logo is separate and if i'm not mistaken he does sell that as well... I'm not really into the cover with the M badge on it... I don't want to pass my car up as an M. I just think the steering wheel "feel and width" on the E92 is pretty lame and this one looks so thick and comfy... And the cover of the E92 sport pack should like very nice with this steering wheel... Just my opinion... |
