Yeh, I think I will probably try and do the subframe bushes, m3 fronts bits, (+/-camber plate) and AD08Rs first up... see how she drives... and then decide on coilovers. V2s are going to end up nearing 2.5k after customs/duty/shipping... gonna have to save up!

Just from a bang for buck point of view I was considering the B12 pro kit... and upgrade down the line if necessary.

i see you got the MHD / ALPINA!
did you have any trouble flashing the alpina after you had the MHD?
or your uninstalled MHD first then flashed the alpina?

What problems were you thinking would be encountered.
I had vtl do the alpina flash for me, after MHD. And stage 1 MHD was installed at the time i think.

Oh, second person that went fine without issues,
Reason i asked was JB4 + Cobb or other tunes needed to be on valet mode prior to flashing the Alpina. so it got me thinking... maybe mhd needs to be put to stock first or something aswell.

Only JB4 needs to be on map 0 for anything obd2 related. Flash tunes don't require removal.

Small update.

n54 Yoda installed my Nolathane RSFB's last weekend, along with a brake fluid flush. Thanks again Vince!

Wasn't sure at first about the difference, but have been driving the car for a few days now and can definitely feel the increased firmness... unfortunately this has highlighted the deficiencies of my RFTs... need to get those ADO8Rs on asap.

Pic shows the cool new tool vince created to get the old front bushings out.

Unfortunately looks like my left rear shock is also on its way out...

Still undecided on the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit... B14 PSS... or the BC Racing BR Coilovers. ... waiting patiently for a nice review from timot! I like the idea of a local supplier, damping control and inbuilt camber plates with BC Racing... but was looking at the website and it appears that for all warranty work the product needs to be shipped at the buyers expense overseas... which kinda negates one benefit... Leaning towards the Bilsteins.... because German lol.

BC Racing BR $1400 AUD in Aus free shipping, no duty.
B12 ProKit from UK around $950 AUD + $80 shipping.... no duty
B14 PSS from UK around $1300 AUD + $180 shipping + duty
KW V2 from Germany around $2200 AUD + $80 shipping + duty

Out of interest... buying things over 1000AUD attracts duty... along with processing fees. Have not done this before. Anyone know what the approximate cost for a $1400 AUD import including customs processing and duty.

Found an interesting youtube video for those interested in the Bilstein lineup...

Will probably do the M3 front bits at the same time as suspension. Waiting for some nice weather to do this all in my outdoor driveway 'garage'. Come on Melbourne!

Perhaps buy a set of coils from a US forum member, there are often new coils for sale on here, and they can list value < $1k AUD

Or alternatively hit a few traders on here up about it?

Just ask the seller to list below 1k aud and don't buy if they don't.

I'd say go for the B14s if you don't mind the extra cost and want the height adjustment, it can come in handy.

Damping adjustment is a nice to have but never felt I needed it on the B12s as the damping feels great. A lot of adjustable suspensions I've ridden in feel like crap because they haven't been setup properly.

Ok so, I have decided on my suspension.

Going to go with the BC Racing BR Type RA Coilover Kit.
The fronts don't require shock mounts as far as I am aware... anyone know what rear shock parts I should 'refresh' at the same time?

Theres a kit on FCP... Rear Shock Mounting Kit
Is that pretty much all I will need?

Also... standard spring rates are 8kg front, 12kg rear.... any reason to request a different setup?

Gonna do the front M3 control arm upgrade too... Should be fun times!

I did the Dinan upper rear shock mounts which are a little stiffer. Just went for a meyle lower rear shock mount but this AKG one looks really nice:

Race use only though so im guessing theyre either harsh or don't last long or both
