I haven't timed the charges tbh, i was mainly using it for flashing purposes on my old battery - now i've got a new batt and the flashes take less than 2 mins, i'm all good.

Thats fair enough, these are things you do when you have battery issues I guess

With this DCT style shifter not having a button on the back to press when moving through PRND etc should be fine.

I am running a M3 shifter with no button. The brake pedal must be pressed to shift through PRND otherwise the shifter won't move. You can shift from D to N without the brake however it won't shift into R. So the car should not be able to "auto reverse" as stated in the Ebay description. I have not tried touching the brake pedal, accelerating and pushing the lever into R for obvious reasons.

This style of DCT shifter would look good with the old PRND lights tucked underneath with a manual leather shift boot. Having two sets of PRND looks a bit odd.

From memory it may be difficult/ not possible to wire up an oem m5 or m3 DCT shifter to display the P light.

using a manual's shift boot would look even more ridiculous with the shifter sitting off center
