[QUOTE=blue1;2644706]Well the Grus is still at LB and has been there all day. I think the crew is asleep. If anyone lives near the port can you go over and wake up the crew we want our cars. I need to pick mine up by the 24th or I will have to wait until the 20th of June before I can get it. There is no point showing it's position any more as it doen't change.

Thanks to who ever it was who went down to the dock and woke up the crew. The Grus is underway and finally heading for PH. Woo Hoo. The journey is almost over but the wait continues.

My sales dude is saying Saturday or Sunday of next week for Denver. I am guessing it will be Monday before I take delivery.

I emailed my CA today and he said the system hasn't updated yet and won't til tomorrow. Right now it shows a Thursday/Friday pickup, but that's with a ship arrival of 5/9, which we all know didn't happen.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend!

This part of the wait is so variable, but here are some experiences for those cities.

My first car took seven days from the time the ship docked in LA to when the car arrived in SLC UT. The ship arrived on a Friday in LA (Mercedes' VPC) and my car arrived at my dealership the following Friday.

My second car arrived on Ship Hojin two weeks ago on a Saturday, but then my car arrived at the dealership in SLC four days later (!) on a Wednesday night. But, that happened with some pushing on the VPC by my dealership's GM. I think (about) seven days is what you should expect from BMW VPC to SLC. You can call Waggoner's Trucking (BMW's trucking contractor) and they can update you on your car's whereabouts, once the car is transferred to them. They can give you an ETA to your dealership. It only takes two days (generally) to get unloaded and through VPC, but then they have to fill a truck to your city. If it isn't a major city, whether inside or outside of CA, it could take a few days to fill the truck. They won't send a truck out on the road unless it is full. I know a guy who waited 10 days for his car to reach his dealership and he was in central CA. For LA area cars, it is generally just a few days from dock to dealership (For ships that arrive on Fridays or Saturdays, weekends can slow things down, as customs and VPCs are closed).

Waggoner's Trucking toll free #: 1-800-449-3195. They will ask for your VIN number.

And for Denver, CO, Appropriate on the Don Juan thread just went through that wait. His ship arrived on a Friday and he received his car 10 days later on a Monday.

SPN do you think ED adds much time to the process? I am picking up in LA, do you think there is much chance of getting my car this weekend??

PS Grus has gone and is on its way to Japan.

Talk about an anti-climatic docking at PH!
So when is the 800 # or online likely to update status, mid-Monday?

Blue1-Ohhhh, I hate EDs because they can add more wait time. Last summer, I was seeing (on this forum) an extra three weeks once the ship docked for EDs to go through customs both for BMW and for MBs (at their VPC in LA). In Feb/Mar of this year, it was taking nine extra days. But, I know someone who had an ED on Camellia Ace two weeks ago and he got his car in one week, and that was from dock to the dealership in SLC (again, it was a MB car). So, there is hope that customs has gotten speedier! I did an ED with my first car two years ago and mine flew right through customs, like all the other priority one cars. But with the wait times I have seen this past year, I will never do another ED again, unless I was mentally prepared for the possibility of extra weeks of wait time. Keep us posted. I am always curious to know what the latest wait time is for EDs and let's hope they have improved their inspection time.

Not yet, planning on calling late in the day.
800 # still shows Vehicle in Transit status.

I will call in the next day or 2. Since mine is ED I am not in too much of a hurry, I am expecting a little delay. Also my OC stoped working when they updated the software so I can't track it there anymore and no one can fix it.

Ya I noticed this too. Mine will work, but only under Firefox - Safari basically goes off in the weeds when I try to sign in. Once you do get into your account though, it looks great.

Mine still says "en route to the VPC" or something like that right now.

I can get into my account but my problem is where it should say tracking there is no link so I can't bring it up. I can't remove the vehicle as it is linked to financial services. It is all a cluster.

Try calling your CA. He should be able to find out pretty quickly.
