I had the PE and headers, I hated going about 4K rpm. But you might like it. I thought about adding some sort of resonator, but then I got rid of the headers.

I believe they're preparing some cars for a track day this weekend, so we may have to wait until next week for any more updates :/

Yes, the turbo car was on the dyno for most of the day today. I'm back on the SC car now, but I have no updates at this time.

Slow and steady wins the race (unless there is a tuned 335i then we're probably gonna lose anyway)

Yeah it is obnoxious. I hated going about 3500 rpm. Drove me crazy to hear the rasp

It doesn't sound bad but it is loud and raspy. I'm sure it feels louder in person. I've always preferred the subtle grumbly note over the loud raspy ones. PE with resonator delete and stock cats has always sounded the best in my opinion.

What would headers sound like with stock resonator and muffler though?

I just got a go pro chest mount that fits perfect in between the steering wheel and cluster. Gonna try and get some 5+ mph pulls

Headers and PE is sweet I6 music.
Is it to loud for the street? Maybe.....
Should you give a fuck what others think of your exhaust sound? No

Feel your pain, took me 2 years configuring my exhaust setup so the ride was tolerable. Ended up throwing in a high flow cat, large resonator and muffler lol.

This is my experience with some setups i've been through:

I've had AA Headers straight piped all the way to the back, no secondary cats, no resonator, no muffler. It is loud af, once it hits 2500 rpm it's already wanting to scream. I couldn't daily this setup, the rasp and booming loudness was unbearable.

I've had AA Headers, no secondary cats, no muffler, with stock resonator. I like the sound of this, it really toned everything down but once it passes 3000 rpm it screams. I daily this setup, alot of people say it sounds like a V8.

I've had AA Headers, no secondary cats, with stock resonator, and with stock muffler. This sounds completely quiet just like stock exhaust. I use this sometimes since I use an exhaust clamp to switch from V8 sounding setup to quiet.

Would be awesome to have a electric valve to switch between the two.

UPDATE;

had an issue with getting the DME flashed back to stock, fixed the issue and did our custom base file with stock exhaust manifolds and temp sensor in the intake manifold, ended up making 282rwhp SAE with timing being corrected with the sensor.

On its way to a tech to have the headers installed

10 whp just from a tune. Nice!

Edit:
Bob, in your previous post you mentioned that the car made 275, yet this graph is comparing 272whp. It's only 3 who difference, but what kind of runs are you comparing? Best vs best, worst vs best, or something else?

Still impressive results.

Base pull made 208rwhp SAE
Base pull SC made 275rwhp SAE
