Hello,
Can someone advice me with map update issue I have with my 525d F11? Situation is that I have 3xUSB Europe East 2018-1 on 3x8GB USB sticks. Put first USB stick into glovebox USB, interface found it and offer update, so continue, entered FSC lifetime code and then update started. Then it asked for connect USB stick 2, so I connected it and then have call so I left it and iDrive turned off... When I came navigation system started and not continue the update so I connect again stick 1, again it offered me update, click start, now without entering FSC code, in few (about 5) seconds it verify all updated files to 28.7% and then ask for USB 2, so I guess it is able to continue where it stoped, but not. When I connect stick 2 nothing happens, still showing on screen "Please insert USB2 to continue update". Only option is Cancel.When I do it, go back to navigation and need to insert again stick 1 to start update and stuck again in this position. Tried many other stick where I copied files for USB2, even that stick which contains USB1 files.So why USB1 files can start update but on same stick not able to continue with USB2 files? I remeber that first time it wanted to insert stick 2 around 25% so some files were transfered from stick 2, but now somehow it could not continue.

Is there any options? I tried also iDrive reboot. But is there option how to force update from begining and reset the actual stuck process?

from memory the files for USB2 are slightly over the capacity of an 8GB stick so files are likely missing, copy USB2 to a 16GB stick instead/verify that size of data on the stick matches what should be in USB2

Try downloading the maps again, could be a corrupt download or zip extraction.

In the imagination of an employee at bmw head office, seems they can't be bothered to produce the map and release it, so far overdue it's ridiculous. Looks like the person who said no more new maps was probably right, nobody at bmw I've been able to contact knows why. Pathetic aftersales support from bmw

OK just seen europe east premium 2018-2 has appeared so I'd hope europe west premium 2018-2 isn't far behind. Massively delayed, maybe the backlash from unamused owners has forced BMW into action and they'll stop messing about for when 2019-1 should be available based on previous release schedules. Despite the big delays I'll be very happy if new map appears (not getting carried away until I see it but very positive development). With map being around 3 months late would be nice if it had the updated map data in it but doubtful, just happy a map looks to be finally on the way.

Europe PREMIUM West 2018-2 was released 2 days before East was.

I know, no seeds any more sadly. Hoping a new torrent pops up soon, looking about it seems map may have been around as early as 26th June so maybe soon someone will upload and help us all out...

found 3 or 4 places with it to buy varying from €24.90 to €41 but they're normally uploaded publicly very soon after release, I guess this was an early torrent where sellers shared it amongst themselves originally and now dead... Either way doubt this torrent will spring back into life
