Listen to this crap....
My CA called me this morning (on his day off), to tell me that my car has yet to show up at the dealership (it was supposed to get there either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning). He said that now it is looking more like a TUESDAY delivery (instead of tomorrow). I told him, very nicely, that if it comes in today, PDI it and ill take delivery tomorrow and do the detailing myself (which Id rather do anyway). I just want my car before I go on vacation Saturday......PLEASE BMW GODS. Any advice...maybe like as to how I can track the trucking company (that it was supposedly already book on as of Tuesday morning). I might drive to the dealer after work to see if it came in yet. |

Hi Eddie, sorry to hear about the delay. I read somewhere that that Wagoneer does most of the trucking for BMW. Here is their site http://www.wagoneer.biz/contact_us.html
If you have your VIN they can help track it for you. At leas that is what I think. Good Luck Leslie

My week just got worse knowing that the one glimmer. . . the idea that Eddie was getting this car and going to be enjoying it this weekend. . . . is now gone!!
I have faith. . . i have faith. . . the BMW Gods will come thru and take care of you my man! Its just the way its supposed to be. I can't imagine the process could take over a week since it takes approx. 1 week for my dealer to get it after it ports in Georgia! No way. no how. |

I am with you guys...Come on BMW Gods. EV has been patient - he's not asking for much. All he wants is his car before a weekend getaway. Just a little request, you can do that for him right?! Help our guy out!!!!

Thank you guys for calling on the BMW gods, doing dances and generally for your thoughts and kind words.... however, I stopped at the dealership tonight and got some more bad news. They looked up my car and showed me the computer screen...VPC completed my car and booked it for trucking (on BMT trucking) all on 6/9 and it has been sitting there in that same status ever since (3 days). So bad news is I wont be cruising to the beach in it, but it should be all ready to go when I get back Tuesday/Wednesday. Im over it... I probably would have been all worried about the saltwater anyways. Thanks again guys...this truly is the best thread/group of people around (yes, that includes our adopted - Les). Lets focus on getting you guys off the seas now. |

I tried my CA today ( I have been working some crazy hours the last few days)...he was off. Man, they are closed on Sundays and they get another day off? lol.
Left him a message. Looks like I will probably be in the same boat as EV. I doubt the truck to Princeton left before yours. At least now there is something to look forward to next week?! lol. My angel eyes just got here, M3 spoiler in the mail, aero lip in paint about to be shipped, tint appointment made today....wheels got pushed back till July but whatever... what's another week.

Hey.... Where did you find that picture? I TOLD the girls not to post that picture, it makes me look fat!
Sorry to hear about your visit to the dealer, but I guess a short trip to the beach will brighten your spirits. I kinda figure my car will get here when it gets here, and no amount of tracking, fretting, obsessing, etc. is going to get it here faster. (Of, course I have learned this a little late in the game, when I only have about two weeks left!) Ok, now I have a noob question. I apologize in advance. Why are people ordering Angel Eyes? Do some cars come standard with them? Will mine come with them? and if mine doesn't them what are my headlights going to look like? I looked at my car build on the BMWUSA site and the headlights look like angel eyes, so obviously I can't see a difference. Can someone post a pic of my 328i headlights next to one with angel eyes? Help, me I am so confused this morning! N e e d c o f f e e... m u s t n o t w h i n e.... Leslie

I've been thinking about this for a bit now and would like your opinion. I'm thinking about personalized plates in appreciation of my wonderful husband. It hardly seems fair, he got this (in dark grey):
and I am getting this (or close to it): Sooooo, I'm thinking of these two plates. Which one do you guys like better? (heart) HF2^HIM or (heart) GOTA^IM Just something to pass the time... Leslie

I could be wrong, but... All the cars come with angel eyes. . . . the mod to them is generally changing the color of the angel eye bulb - to a white or bluish white, or even red. |

Angel eyes are standard in your model...as was discussed. The stock angel eye bulbs will be a yellowish standard halogen look you are used to. The yellowish light output maximizes daytime visibility. The downside is the yellow clashes horribly with our zenons at night.
The swaps, like what I ordered, literally change the color temperature of the light output (the higher the "k's" the bluer the light. The factory Zenons are around 4300k if I remember correctly) The GP Thunder 7500k offer acceptable daytime visibility as daytime running lights and match the factory zenons much better. Check out this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=thunder to get a good idea of what a factory versus aftermarket angel looks like. Just keep in mind that our vanity has a price, the effectiveness of your daytime running lights to be seen in bright daylight. Check out some pics of the PIAA led replacements. They are not even visible as turned on during daylight. But they do look great at night! check out **********s. I got the 7500k shipped for less than half of the previously quoted amount.

PSI/Grave - Independence is coming your way. The WW site is reporting the boat has left Charleston (hopefully my drop off went as planned) and now the independence is on it's way to Brunswick.
