it would say cd changer when the box is selected and not
mp3 player which is the single disk player in the dash. Did you program in the cd changer option in your idrive or pro radio? Also to switch sources between sd card , usb and bluetooth streaming you have to double tap the on off button to cycle to the next source . This is not explained in the instructions very well or at all. |

I never had a cd changer. But there is a single disk player
in the Pro Radio I thought the Idrive had one to. If you press the audio button on a pro radio all the installed sources will be displayed. I am sure the idrive has an equivelent menu. In my case it say's Tuner cd cdc aux. cdc is the new device. I suggest loading up a usb with some files and trying to play that first. I also enabled the cdc in my pro radio by coding it.Some people said it would work without this maybe they already had a cdc. You could plug the box directly into the old cdc player connection if you have that and it was active. But you would have to have had that as an active unit or the Most Loop won't be active at the cdc location it won't even be wired in and there will be no fuse in the cdc location in the cabin circuit board. Since my tcu went kaput and it was the only thing in the most loop I just plugged the most loop right into the box from the Radio. You cannot have this device and the original cdc player to. Its only one or the other. the only device I know that does that is a Dension with the cdc option. I guess I don't know who I'm talkin to Niko43 you started this thread. Has anyone tried these ebay Bluetooth boxes? Looks like it plugs into the back of ccc decks, but wondering if it'd work with those pre-wired for cd changers.

Looks like it just plugs into the BMW aux.
Which is no different than plugging in a phone , cd player or ipad directly into the aux. Just switch box with a low price. Avoid the BMW aux . Also the CD changer is a Most Bus Module there are no plug in's for it so the add is miss leading. It's a Fiber optic Input not a dedicated plug. There is no such thing as the aux/cd input only an aux input and the pre wiring for the CD changer means there is a fiber optic line that is not plugged in and a power line for the same. There is a single cd player in the head unit but it's not related to the Aux Input. Last edited by ctuna; 04-30-2020 at 11:31 PM.. |

I’m finally getting around to doing something about in car entertainment and I want to start with installing this Bluetooth module. I already have Bluetooth phone connectivity so I’ll only use this for Bluetooth media and the ability to use steering wheel controls.
The only thing I will have trouble with is the coding as I have zero experience with coding. I have NCS expert if anybody would be so kind as to help me get this coded? Maybe walk me through it via phone. I can reimburse you for your time. Thanks! Rube |

If your car was made before 3/07 you can use a K/D can cable.
If it was make after you may have trouble coding it without and Icom cable. Check that first using mdecoder.com . One guy claimed he just did the hardware install and it worked. Don't know if he already had cdc though. Its in this thread I believe. Also you do not have to do vo coding only enable the cdc function in the pro radio or idrive. |

Enet cable won't do you any good on an E9x.
It has to be Icom for most bus modules . You might want to take a shot at it. See if you can read the Radio file all you have to do is change cdc to aktiv and rewrite it if it takes, cdc will be displayed in the source selection list on the radio. Kinda don't know if its up to and including 3/07 or beyond this is nebulous area. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-P-actually-do Cables are described in the above link .(starting at entry 4) Last edited by ctuna; 05-03-2020 at 02:28 PM.. |

What about the extra connections in the trunk that go to where the 6CD changer would be?

What about them . If you have pre wiring you have a fiberoptic
cable but its not plugged into the Most Hub and power cable but the fuse in the fuse board in the cabin will be missing. Most Hub has a dead an active block. I plugged my add a fuse into the cd fuse slot and went with the stock Most cable supplied in the Kit right to the Radio as a bad TCU is all I had in the Trunk. I still have a rather sloppy install relative to the box and mike . I just shoved the box under the passenger side glove box cover so I can still pull it out to change the usb and sd card and the mike is just lying in the ashtray. |

I have a spare BT box that already has a BMW connector pinned into the power harness. If anyone wants it send me a PM.

yeah its possible but it won't do you any good till
you reroute the most bus cable for the cdc into the loop and add a fuse to the cdc position in the cabin fuse board. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=957972 read cdc installation pdf in first entry. 2nd pdf. |

Depends if you would rather route the Most Cable or Pull the Head
Unit looks like a toss up to me. You could also plug it in where the TCU used to be but then it becomes a problem to plug in usb and Sd drives easily and reroute the microphone. |

You should have some local coders in NYC .
Also there are remote coders on the coding sub forum . Did you try to code . This has got to be one of the simpler codings but you may have that Icom issue. You might also send your Radio to someone who can do it. https://www.google.com/search?client...RlcnMgbnlj;mv:[[40.776201799999996,-73.9899233],[40.668172299999995,-74.0011021]];tbs:lrf:!1m4!1u3!2m2!3m1!1e1!1m4!1u16!2m2!16m1!1e 1!1m4!1u16!2m2!16m1!1e2!2m1!1e16!2m1!1e3!3sIAE,lf: 1,lf_ui:4 It takes no time to make the change the setup is what takes the time . Be sure to ask them if they have an Icom cable and describe what you want. Also are you sure your box is powered up it has some led indicators. Good Luck.
